Boys were slipping and sliding. I will never complain about deep soft rutty dirt here in the states again. Probably. Lol.
On the hard pack places of track they were just slipping like crazy. No traction

Hard pack clay, no dust, what's not to like? There were lots of tracks like that in California. Taught you how to use the throttle.

These are some of the best riders in the world, I think it’s great to test them in gnarly conditions sometimes

Crazy when Jacobi washed the front on the down ramp of the big triple.. Don't think I've seen that before! I mean if he was on the brakes sure but not while landing on the gas haha

Hard Pack tracks do exist. Not everything is, nor should be, chocolate cake mix.

The ability to ride on varied surfaces, and conditions, is what our sport (should be) all about.

Semarang is a very good track. Plenty up up and down, varied corners, varied jumps. Quite demanding.

Jemcee - you've not seen that before? You're listed as an Aussie - surely you've ridden (and crashed - I have!) on slick, hard pack tracks, dry as a bone, or, with a bit of water just put down, or, not quite dried yet = Ice, Ice Baby! Hard Pack and Sand ( and Rock) is our staple diet here in OZ, and, often, all three on the same course, the same straight, the same corner and the same jump (face, and landing). Woohoo Whistling

Haha That's all true I did my racing in Northern NSW and Queensland in the late 90's so plenty of dusty, slippery, sharp horrible hardpack haha.. My local track (Tucki) was a mix between a sandy old ancient river bed and sandstone rock haha..

I just don't think I've seen it on a fast down ramp before where you'd normally be on the gas not pushing the front haha

Yeah I agree. Have to be able to ride a variety of tracks. Is what it is.

That track looked fucking great as compared to some of the tracks I grew up racing on in SoCal.

Carlsbad Raceway on a hot August day in the afternoon? Imagine black diamond ski runs made from polished concrete with sand and gravel scattered on top for good measure and you get the idea.

That Indonesia circuit looked outright loamy to me...
