8/26/2024 5:18pm You should put at least 30 hours on a bike imo before coming to a decision if you like it or not.

8/26/2024 5:17pm Reminds me of a friend I had for a long time with more money than sense. He was an average C level rider, TALL guy about 6’7, athletic build. Obviously he was heavier than the intended weight that a stock bike comes equipped for, and he would just buy a bike, trick it out with all the Bolt ons, and then sell it because “it handles like shit”. Got tired of trying to explain how suspension needs attention for any bike he hops on after 5 or 6 bikes. Now he’s a car guy.

8/26/2024 5:16pm Look, I used to ride the Yamaha 250. I had a 2020. I hated the ergos and the vague front end feel. I got the Honda in 2022. I love riding it way more. My technique is better and it turns better. It does scare me sometimes, and I can't bulldog stuff as much as I could on the Yamaha. It seems like the 2025 Honda maintained most of what is good about the Honda (Ergos, turning) while adding some ability to smash through rough stuff. I had a 2024 with 18 hours on it. FC suspension, linkage, Yosh, 2.15...

8/26/2024 5:13pm "Better than what you have" - That's a tough one. Yamaha stock suspension and tunability is simply class leading. Despite MXA's roasting last year, the bike is still at (or very near) the top of the class. If you're okay with the louder than competitors intake noise (I recommend ear plugs on every bike, regardless if it's blue, 2T, or 4T...) and are gelling with it, you have very few "better" 250F options. "Major improvement from the last generation" - The 25' CRF250R is a HUGE improvement over the 22'-24's. If you're a die-hard Honda guy, it's hard to go...

8/26/2024 5:13pm I had the 2020 Crf250r with mapped vortex and yoshi that I absolutely loved. . Thought I had to have the all new 22 and just like you I struggled with that bike! Even with the suspension revalved I still couldn’t gel with that one. That bike gave me arm pump like I’ve never had before!! Bought the 25 after hearing how it was better and can honestly tell you I love this bike. Being a vet rider myself , comfort means everything to me.I set the sag and clickers to stock and felt at home instantly on it....

8/26/2024 5:12pm Have a 2024 YZ250F I’m enjoying but thinking about switching back to a Honda (had a 17 I loved). I had a 2023 and hated the rigidity and unpredictability it was just not an easy bike to ride for a old c class vet guy and did not feel like a typical Honda. Have poured over countless intro videos but can’t get a sense of if it’s better than what I have or a major improvement from the last gen. Hoping some people here have had some seat time on the new red bike. Thanks in advance.

8/26/2024 5:10pm Where did this guy get his crystal ball? Also, outside of his claims that GG & Husky are "gone"...and the racers being let go...(Are they, really?)... Well, what actual "news" did he throw out there? Is this Europe's Cooksey? 🤣

8/26/2024 5:10pm You can hate them, but they have brought a bunch of innovation to the segment. Think we’d have electric start bikes from the japs by now if ktm didn’t bring that to market first? What about finger adjustment suspension clickers? I just saw the 25 Yamahas now offer that on the forks now…

8/26/2024 5:05pm It’s definitely tough when you can get a kx450 for 6500 or a kx250f for 6000. For example I live 5 min from a KTM/gasgas/husky dealer and they can’t even shut the front door there’s so many 23/24 and now 25 bikes. They are discounted to about 9k for a 450. The other dealer also 5 min away is all jap bikes. And for whatever reason the floor is empty. The couple of 25’s that have trickled in are gone. They have a yz250 on the floor and that’s it. I think KTM has just overproduced and like said above...

8/26/2024 5:04pm KTM needs to go back to their core. Wasting tens of millions every year on motogp is insane. Drop the 50 state off road emissions models and Move their US facility out of Ca. Drop the chinese manufacturing of KTM. Why buy an orange chinese bike for 12k when you can buy something else for much less. KTM should shed WP. Pierre needs to step down as well as the board of directors. These dictators have run KTM into the ground. The US economy is going to take a few years to turn around. Hope the dealers can survive. And...

8/26/2024 5:03pm This is just confusing to me, every off-road race I go to there is hundreds of KTMs 90% of which are less than 3 years old, I know lots of people waiting in line for their 2025 to come in.

8/26/2024 5:01pm It is wild to see how many BIG crashes Deegan has had and doesn’t get hurt. You gotta give it to him, he knows HOW to crash. And then the guy runs back to the bike and rides harder than he did before he crashed. That’s grit. Core. Can’t teach that shit. Dude wanted it. How many people ride like...

8/26/2024 4:58pm HD reminds me of RC4 during his first few years. Just bouncing off the ground and running back to his bike like nothing happened. Now we see if HD has the same luck at staying healthy(ish) over the next 8-10 years, here’s hoping for the best for him!
