I recently was able to ride my new Honda CRF250WE. I cannot believe how good of a bike this was. I also own a Honda CRF250R, but am very surprised how different these two bikes feel. The R has had a harsh suspension feeling, where the WE didn't have a hard hit for me at all. Also, I am not sure if it is different mapping or the exhaust, but the WE seems to have more lug ability and pull throughout. Both bikes are stock except for minor things like plastic, tires and grips.Just for a little more context I...

Just got one too, and I completely agree. Suspension and turning are great and the low-end torque is abundant. I'm about 165 and my other bikes are all two stroke 250s. (Yes, I've taken a step onto the dark side, but so far, I'm loving it after 40+ years purely on two stroke race bikes).

Hey all, Just a heads up- this is coming from someone who is NOT tech savvy, but I was curious if anyone is giving out specific location information by posting photos in here. Sure enough, the first picture I saved to my phone and looked at the info showed specific location info. That was just the first one I picked. I’d be careful about adding photos before changing the data setting to this thread, seems like a lot of nice bikes, tools, things that could be lost to some asshole. Anyone smarter than me want to chime in on this?

The wife had 2 dysons so I “borrowed “ one and forgot to return it. It’s cordless and does a pretty good job. I’m pretty sure dysons are expensive though.

My vacuum pulls most back up through the drainage holes. What it doesn’t get I can’t even see. In the spring I unsnap big sections and pull it out to the driveway and then I sweep the concrete floor.

Last year I went with Racedeck tiles and it’s one of the best things I’ve done. Not only do I not get dirty laying on the ground to work, it doesn’t accumulate water and whatnot from snow.

Another flooring option… I bought these tiles online at Costco . I was a bit worried about their durability before I bought them but I’ve rolled tool chests, refrigerators, bikes and cars across them and they have held up perfectly. I purchased the non solid style with drainage holes so water goes through down to the floor drain. These are...

After dealing with the portable ac unit for one summer I finally decided to go with the mini split unit . Best decision ever!! Most come with an app so you can control temps with your phone from anywhere. I also love that it’s wall mounted and not taking up floor space. I have a 20 x20 setup with a...

I retired and moved from Huntington Beach, CA to Perry Georgia back in 2021. I always wanted my own piece of land to build a track for just me as the public tracks are starting to be a little too much for my 69 year old body and mind. So I bought 3 acres and just had it cleared last month. I have been doing a lot of manual clean up of stumps, vines and just debris left from the clearing. Also been putting up a fence by myself (425' is a long ways). So a couple weeks ago I...

Been riding/racing my trusty YZ250 since 2013. Love the bike but it is definitely tired. I've been considering getting a 450 for a while now as I embrace my vet years. The 250 two stroke is a blast, but you need to work pretty hard to ride it fast, which is fun if you're riding all the time. I went 450 to have a bike that I can ride fast within my comfort zone, and the easy maintenance for a weekend warrior type like myself. I can get a lot of hours out of a 450 before I'll need to...

That makes sense. I only know this stuff from training myself over many years. My understanding is that Resting Heart Rate being slightly elevated is physical, as the heart was taxed, and needs some time to recover, much like any muscle. Also, after a hard workout, usually a bike ride mostly in Zone 4 and some 5, with a lot of climbing, it isn't just my heart muscles that are recovering. It's every muscle involved in the workout. The heart has to pump a bit harder to feed more oxygenated blood to all the muscles that are recovering. I can...

I did a deep dive on HRV for myself over the last few years. It’s a tool, and it’s not a binary go / no-go. Here’s an article I wrote about using HRV to enhance your training and overall wellness. I hope you find it helpful. https://seijisays.substack.com/p/low-hrv-isnt-a-fitness-problem-its?r=l…
