Right on here. Great tip. If they can't show you what maintenance has been done, walk. I just flat out don't trust most people to take care of their stuff. I just hit 120hrs on my 350F. Meticulous maintenance records. Spreadsheets tracking what is due when, and how long until the next service. Made cheat sheets/diagrams posted in my shop...
Wondering the same thing myself. Getting close to ordering an EX model. I'm on the lighter side and most of the dealers order the heavier springs. That'd be a benefit for me. Also, I really don't want someone else touching my bike. Title and registration will be a little more of a hassle but not too bad. Worth saving a...

I was in a similar situation. Rode 250F’s for a few years. Took a 16+ year break. Four years ago, started back up at 45 years old on 250F’s. Yamaha forever? Well, I wanted to be a little lazier and not hitting the rev limiter once in a while. No chance I’m riding a 450. After only riding Yamaha my...

There's really great hiking and scenery in Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons nearby as well. I don't spend much time in SLC but everywhere around it certainly isn't boring.

That screw in oil funnel with the vent is great! Found the model for it and made one myself. Made this pegboard mount for my Slacker tool today.

I didn't know a shim calculator like that was out there. I double checked the math against one I made. Checks out. I agree error to the looser side because they tighten up over time. Also, for anyone going from a Yamaha to any other brand, friggin pay attention to intake vs exhaust side. I messed that up after switching.

That bleed cup isn’t out there. I designed my own version. Made this corner tire stop for my Tacoma yesterday. Stops the tire from hitting the rolled up Tonneau cover.

I was also wondering the same thing. Looking to pick up a second bike for local single track and just messing around. A Beta XTrainer and the Stark EX were on my short list. Delayed trying a Stark for a long time. Rode one at the MX track yesterday. Everything else is off the list.

This was a good listen and exposure for the sport. Interesting to hear questions from a host not in moto. Cam was at Washougal as well. Perfect timing for moto fans getting ready for archery season (or staying off the bike to not ruin the hunt starting soon). I listened to it driving out to an archery elk scouting trip...

Our local club has the process down! Ripped the perfect depth, watered and smoothed out the night before. It’s like riding on chocolate cake in the morning! It gets rutted but not terribly. Just enough to inspire those of us who suck at ruts to go out mid-week and practice just ruts. Don’t like the ruts? Just take the outside...

I put the DIY kits in my fork and shock (23 350). I don’t have experience with the spring conversion but my last bike had KYB forks. I’m pleased with the performance and glad I didn’t spend the extra for inserts. The recommended settings were spot on.

So did I. It was one of the first books I read about hunting out west. Still page through it. Heck, I picked up and moved out west!
