So many threads start like this and have the other half of the text in the first post.

I maintain that almost nobody will be slower on a 350 than a 450 once they get used to it if all we are talking about is lap times, but the experience and fun you get out of riding it is entirely subjective and not something you'll figure out unless you try it. Some people have more fun on a 350 and some people have more fun on a 450.... but it isn't because they are turning laps faster.

I'm in the same boat your are and roughly the same age, but I haven't had that big one yet that has forced me to question whether or not I want to ride anymore. No regrets and will never own another 450… ever! Anyone that thinks being 200+ will hinder them it won’t. You can’t just borrow it for a couple laps, you need 5-10 hours to get used to it… commit to it! I have been as heavy as 250 without gear (i’m big boned damn it!) but now finally at 195. Mine is a 21 with vortex from XPR and it pulls hard … run 14/51 gearing. I regularly use 3rd through corners with a touch of clutch on exit but will drop to second for inside lines. In the last 10 years I have owned a 125, 250f, 250 two stroke, 300 two stroke, 350 and 450. If I could only own one bike it would be my 350. That being said I currently have a 125, 250, 300, and 350 lol

Ride the 350 like it’s a 2 stroke and it rewards you. Rev it out, use the clutch, and shift it. Think you can lug it around like a 450 and you’ll hate it. I’m normally at the front of the pack on starts if not pulling the hole shot against 450’s. Once you figure the bike out it’s just as capable as a 450, but with less weight and you get in and out of corners faster since you can have a better roll speed with it.

So I rode a 22 KTM 350 today at Cahuilla and hated it the first lap, then as I kept doing laps, I started to understand the charm of a 350. I'm lucky enough to be able to buy a 350 without having to sell my 450, so, I'm going to get a GasGas 350 next week. I'm going with the Gas Gas because I have so many parts for a Gas Gas, it's makes it a better deal for me.

Thats really good data to compare to. I, too, thought the numbers looked odd. 45mph seemed way fast to me, and 26 miles seemed really far. I was just talking to my buddy who had his garmin watch on and his had an average of 28mph. Like others have mentioned, I think there is a unit conversion error and the numbers are actually reflecting metric units. 43.6kmh = 27mph. 26km = 16.1 miles Those numbers make way more sense. I've reported a couple other bugs like this to the team already, but guess i'm off to report another!

Just to clarify! I never said “I passed the e bike dude.” Paps just asked me for my average time then I told him & said that I didn’t see anybody going on average 15 mph faster than me but maybe the e bike was so quiet I didn’t notice 😂 I did see the guy out there & pointed it out to my girlfriend. Bike seems cool. Don’t bother me but I’m gonna stick with my gas powered dirt bikes for a bit no matter what the stats say about the electric bike & battery, etc. God bless.

That is exactly how he always comes across in any given video, and it's cool how so many people are always here or there to confirm he's the real deal with stories like that. Big fan of it all from watching him ride supercross or nationals to ripping a KDX in the backyard to remembering or seeing new crazy BBR builds (that new YZ85/125 hybrid is all-time) to his Mrs going racing and putting in work. Those folks are pure undiluted moto.

I believe Carson Brown fits the bull better than the fmx / freerider crowd etc. He rides ANY machine, and can compete at the highest level. He rides weird machines faster than anyone ever has - KDX 200 etc His Dad owns BBR. It doesn't get anymore core than that sorry
