I think people read too many reviews or get pro thoughts, or just go off what other people say. I’ve ridden all the 450s, and own a 450 sxf, and there was zero times I ever thought any of those 450s needed more power. Never owned a Suzuki, but know a couple guys who love them. There was a deal a couple years ago where they came with a Yoshi setup and they were discounted, people still bitched. If I were privateer that would have been a no brainer.

It’s like Kawi copied the good things from the yahama(tuner app), ktm ( no tool air filter change, brembo front breaks), and Honda( engine changes). I’m not mad at it.

Currently own 3 of them. a 19 SXF with 22 suspension, 20xcfw (totally different bike really) and just got a 23 SXF. The 23 engine is nuts! Its like a 450 low-mid. Snaps like my YZ250F but with big power. It really feels like they are shipping them with a big bore kit installed! The new bike I'm still getting used to. Suspension is better coming from my 19 (with 22 suspension), Handling on the old bike feels a little easier and lighter. Better front end grip. Likely because of the extra punch on the new bike it wants to...

I took a 30 year break, started riding again in 2019. I only go to the track during the week. I don’t want to get in anybody’s way. I have it too, but once i get out on the track, it all goes away. One thing i realized is that nobody is really paying attention to you while you are riding unless you are wearing a dinosaur outfit, have bright pink plastic, or doing some crazy shit on the track that not many other riders are doing. Otherwise, you are just another rider out on the track.

I lurk around here to reminisce about the days many years ago when my life was moto. This thing called urbanization was largely responsible for forcing me to quit riding. If electric bikes came out 15 years sooner I would be racing the +40 class today. I'm all for electric bikes because I'm the person who was knocked out of the game because of track closures, urbanization and noice ordinances.
