Ashton Oudman out of Sedro Wooley, WA (population 12,000). Seen him race twice so far. He came down to Washougal this weekend for the Classic 7 and absolutely destroyed the 250 and Open Pro-am classes. Like 30 second gaps regardless of conditions (see my other post). We watched him all weekend and he never looked like he even broke a sweat. He races GNCC stuff too. Someone needs to sign him. Brent, go check him out.

There’s a bunch of fast kids in WA right now. Hopefully one of them goes all the way.
That's a Dutch surname....
Ashton raced PacWest rounds 5 & 6 this weekend at Mountainview MX. He's running his new AMA #480. He hole shot and won every moto he entered and it wasn't close. Again he didn't look like he even broke a sweat, and he had motos 5, 7, and 9 today in 90f heat so basically back to back to back. Yeah, it's only 5 laps and at his pace that's like a 9 minute moto each. He doesn't rev the bike out - very Roczen-like in running a gear high and being smooth. I saw a couple MV regulars that are very fast challenge him in practice and races, and he ate them up even tho they tried (and failed) to hit him more than once. I'm told he will race Washougal this year to get his feet wet.
Edit: Apparently he had 12 hole shots and 12 wins in the 12 motos he ran. He's racing the top classes so it seems he needs more competition up here.

Isn't there always? They've got something in the water up there.
Kid made the 450 main at Hangtown!!! As far as I know that’s his first 450 class attempt too!!
Yes, first time! We are so proud of him.
You should be!!! It’s one hell of an accomplishment!
Lot of Dutchies up in northern Washington, especially Lynden. It's all the dairy farming (my own Dutch family included, but in southern Washington).
Apparently he hole shot the LCQ and lost the lead in the last few corners to finish second. Looking forward to seeing how he does at Washougal. No idea if he is racing any other rounds.
I was lucky enough to not have to participate In the lcq so I filmed it! Ashton came by after the races asking if I had videos of the race, very nice kid and did a great job!
Thanks for posting that video LocalMB, Ashton lives about 10 minutes from me, cool to see him in the big show.
He’ll be riding at Washougal Nationals.
We will too but only as amateurs.
we will make some noise for him!!
Saw the 480 at pacwest opmc this weekend . Wow ! Really impressive
1:41.8 in practice . Track record ?
Pit Row
hes gunna give factory bikes hell in the 250 class if he keeps that growth up. will be a hell of a 450 rider. might be one of those direct to 450 kids..
will be very good if hes coming in with offroad training first...
thats how my career started,
plessinger, etc.. you learn so much good technique AWAY from the track.
Offroad before moto always, but its definitely tightened up between the two sports in the last 20 years. still a gap, but its tightening.
Maybe show up at Washougal on a two stroke, make a name for himself and some money!
Yeah we were there too. He hole shot and won everything he rode all weekend. There's really no-one in the PacWest series that can challenge him at all. My son and I stopped and congratulated him and his Dad on making their first Natl on their first try. Looking forward to Washougal!
FWIW, his brother is no slouch on a bike either.
His brother rips too for sure.
This isn't road racing, we don't do track records.
