Spare parts probably aren’t readily Available. So probably not the best idea if you’re learning new tricks, either way tricks are for kids.

The E 50 class at the local track is a snooze fest because the lack of noise, the riders actually look slower without the noise of a motor. Like many have said above I do not see stadiums selling out for electric bikes, part of the experience, especially for newbies is the excitement of bikes revved up on the start or panic revving in the air. And people saying it will save local track; no itll likely kill local tracks if electric gets pushed by government if prices continue to rise. Another option for riders cool, but im not eager to see them take over as the sport we all love will be drastically different and not for better.

So the kids riding the bikes look like they are having less fun? Because they didn't have noise?

There is something primal about a noisy vibrating engine you are mastering to move you along.  I am not sure elec bikes can overcome that.  Ktm has had a freeride ebike for many years.  I have yet to lay eyes on one.  The problem with these kind of bikes is you have to have two.  That is all freerides gas or elec.  Then you actually freeride, race with like equipment.  I can see a huge market for playbikes,  but the price has to come way down and i am not sure they can get there.

I lurk around here to reminisce about the days many years ago when my life was moto.  This thing called urbanization was largely responsible for forcing me to quit riding.  If electric bikes came out 15 years sooner I would be racing the +40 class today.  I'm all for electric bikes because I'm the person who was knocked out of the game because of track closures, urbanization and noice ordinances.  To those who talk about E bikes killing moto, I don't agree with you.  Both ICE bikes and E bikes will share the sport together.  Each will have its own niche for the foreseeable future.

Just wait til you see (not hear) the electric bulldozer I'm developing!

I'm currently accepting $100.00 down-payments and will be offering a wonderful payment plan: 157 Easy monthly payments followed by 1 Really Hard payment.

Electric bulldozers are the future.

I mean, if we can have battery powered hand tools,  RC cars, and even dirt bikes, why would it not also be superior for earthmoving machines?

It's just pure logic... electric is better for everything.
