I thought that getting the start straight up into the stands would free up a lot of floor space... but then they extended it all the way to the far side endzone anyway. oh well. it's unique, but perhaps poorly utilized.

More than likely the bean counters at Discount determined that MX/SX as a whole has a poor ROI for selling passenger car tires. But don't let logic piss on your sweet one-liner.

I've been saying for years that in the age of the internet, there needs to be a website dedicated to motorcycle geometry measurements. Triple clamp offset fork lug rake axle diameters linkage ratios shock lengths fork tube diameter among others. The basics. Maybe something like that exists and I don't know about it.

If I were into Yamahas, I would get an 04, then start begging Technical Touch to find you a set of KYB Bell Bottom forks. The answer you'll get is "they've all been destroyed" but there is more than likely a set or two floating around, unaccounted for.
