Since going to Ducati, Rossi has 7 wins, 2 poles and 8 fastest laps in the last 5 years. And asides from Argentina and Assen this year, honestly I can't remember any rides he had that were that special.
Yet he was the points leader all year....

"Uninspiring" as that may be..

With the current state of American RR and rider development, I doubt we will see a US contender in Europe for decades.

Which is no big loss, seeing how a bit of luster has been taken off what was once the premier RR series in the world with the MM/JL stroke fest .

I was looking at buying a new Honda or Yamaha play bike. Won't be buying either of those brands.

Bought my first new Yamaha in 1976. Got a new Honda 50 for Christmas in 1968.

No more of my money will be spent on any Yamaha or Honda products as long as JL and MM are in their employ.

Yamaha is out for the "let Broc by" incident

Suzuki has to be out for the issues in the 60's were they bribed the rider to steel the MZ GP bike and plans,

KTM/Husqvarna has used team tactics by not letting riders race their team mates (02 when Ramon won the world 125 title i know of ), also there was issues with team riders when Langston won his 125 title as well, also KTM was donkey deep in the Falta incident were his title got taken away,

im sure i could find stuff for the other brands as well, this was just off the top of my head,

and these were all riders who were ordered to help their team mates, I can;t see anyone claiming Honda told MM to mess with Rossi,
I doubt Honda told MM to mess with Rossi, but they did come out and say that if MM were to be penalized in anyway for the Sepang issue they would pull out of MotoPP. For that I won't support Honda in any way. I do also feel that Yamaha needs to do something about Lorenzo. Especially because of him running his mouth and throwing a bitch fit saying Rossi should be DQd for what happened in Sepang. As well as getting lawyers and trying to intervene with Rossi's appeal. I don't believe any team would stand for one of their riders going after a teammate like that, but I could be wrong.

Yes, to watch, I haven't seen much special compared or inspired compared to the other three. Argentina and Assen, what else? I mean, enlighten me. I've watched him do ridiculous races but that all ended after the move to Ducati.

Lorenzo? 2013 sticks in my mind - 36 hours after breaking his collarbone and having it plated, he raced at Assen, starting mid-pack and finished 5th. Then raced again and crashed, bending the plate.

Then, came back and won 5 of 10 ridiculous races to take Marquez all the way to the last round at Valencia, where he completely dominated the field, tried to fuck with Marquez's race to get him to finish 4th, but Rossi was nowhere, like he'd been all year.

That's inspired. Show me that?

I agree with you. Rossi has had a great year and has been mightily consistent as always, but he doesn't get you on the edge of your seat like Marquez or Lorenzo do. Having said that, I wouldn't expect someone who is 36 years of age to do that

A quote from Lorenzo.........

"They (Marquez- Pedrosa) knew what I had in play. The fact they are Spaniards like me helped me".

"That helped me because for sure in another kind of race they would have tried to overtake, which they didn't this time"

"If Valentino had been in my position and with Italians behind they would have done exactly the same. The title had to be for Spain"

Really. I didn't see or hear about that.

Still, one would think, for the next year they will kinda be the toast of the town while in their homeland.

I mean, I read somewhere the Spanish press had that country almost foaming at the mouth because of what, ah, Rossi did tp MM.

I get "Team Orders" - I am pro team orders ! If I owned a team with 2 riders and it involved one rider sacrificing so the team can win the championship so that the team can afford to race the following year because of sponsorship then it is only logical team orders work to support the whole team for longer. It part and parcel of racing and running a team.

The point is Ferrari lost a whole lot of respect about their team orders that was exposed for everyone to see ! Why ?

Almost Nobody dislikes Un-Sporting Behavior ! It is in very poor taste and very bad form. It seems you LIKE it a lot and that is your perspective and you are welcome to support bad sports.

If HRC was my team and I had a rider f ucking around like MM on my dollar bringing disrespect to the team and the brand ! The whole reason he is been paid is to support Honda the Brand ! Its a job and it involves more than winning races. Guess what a popular rider brings more hearts and minds to a brand than a fast cunt ! Marketing department should check this whole movie out and the next meeting cut the HRC budget accordingly and MM should have the salary reduced by the loses he has brought to Honda by doing his job very badly ! He does not get paid by Spain in fact he pays Spain tax from the money he earns from Honda for whom he should be working and representing - Clearly this is far far from his mind might even be a concept he cannot understand? Management at HRC should explain to him - Oh they did not they supported it ? Oh shit Honda got bigger problems but then they never really understood marketing ALA Ricky Carmichael - DOH how much did they lose the ground they gained by letting RC go to Suzuki and then hardly ever succeed in MX properly again ? Why is KTM increasing its market share and winning more hearts and minds every day ? They get Marketing ! Like Bill Gates gets it - KTM now own the Offroad hill in terms of marketing ? Where is Honda in terms of Off Road marketing compared to KTM ? So they trying to take on KTM in the Dakar so far not so good but at least they are waking up to the fact they are losing ground in the hearts and mind department - Now again a huge costly PR disaster all because of one little prick and management that does not have the balls to run his department with integrity. Shame me thinks they losing even more ground to KTM since they came back the 2nd half of Moto3 with a faster bike and finished 2nd. Seem they are too top heavy and have not got their ear on the ground like smaller KTM which is much closer to their market in a personal way. The fact that this shit is allowed to happen in probably Honda'sr biggest budget racing effort shows you how badly they are missing the target.

At the end of the day it is not about rules ! Their is no rule for anything that happened even running some one wide there is no rule . This whole affair is about SPORTSMANSHIP ! Who was displayed the best SPORTING behavior over the whole event ? Valentino Rossi unmistakably wins this hand down as the global audience confirms - The losers are : MM DORNA JL HRC all involved not breaking any rules but been very very bad sports the whole episode long ! And you are welcome to bring collaborating evidence to prove how sporting ( Not performance ) "Sporting" these Spanish collectives have been ? Where is their display of SPORTSMANSHIP ? Rossi by just arriving and agreeing to race and start from the back of the grid is an act of SPORTSMANSHIP . Letting your Rival Brand win a race to win a championship may be sporting to only the Spanish ! But in terms of the MotoPP concept ie Racing for a team for a championship completely negates that ! Unless their is a new concept about how to be champion ? Which is why the supporters of this series feel like they have been stolen from ! The whole essence of the series has been violated in a bad way. And People around the world are expressing that exactly !

Shuhei Nakamoto and Honda : Violent setbacks
By Günther Wiesinger - 02.11.2015-17 : 26
The season 2015, not go down in motorsport history for Honda as a badge of honor . So far, only the constructors' championship was won in Moto3 . Shuhei Nakamoto is sorely tried .

Shuhei Nakamoto , Executive Vive President of Honda Racing Corporation ( HRC ) , has designated the Jerez GP 2015 compared to journalists as a humorist .

In light of these statements , some statements have understood that he has now set apart in a statement published by HRC about Rossi / Márquez in Sepang .

Nakamoto has certainly boast as HRC manager stately success . He won the MotoGP World Championship in 2011 with Casey Stoner and after 2013 and 2014 with Marc Márquez .

But he had also recorded violent setbacks .

When Valencia GP 2013 Nakamoto announced at the launch of the open-class Honda RCV1000R, Casey Stoner was with this production racer was only 0.3 seconds slower per lap at Motegi as with the factory RC213V.

Around 150 Curious heard this statement.

Barely three months later lost Nicky Hayden, after all, MotoGP World Champion in 2006, this vehicle for the Sepang test on the first day 3 sec on the fastest one. "You have misunderstood Nakamoto. 0.3 seconds is for every line, "he sneered. He added to security: "The Honda is slow."

Indeed Nakamoto mimes an impromptu comedians at many a press conference.

As of 2014, the much-vaunted open-Honda were humiliated evil of the M1 Yamaha from Aleix Espargaró, confessed Nakamoto: "I have not read the rules exactly. I thought that one should not lease Factory bikes, one must develop Production Racer and then sell them to the teams. "

This admission came about four months after the Phillip Iceland debacle of 2013. There, the Márquez Department of the Repsol Honda Team had not catch that the championship leader after the ninth or optionally after the tenth round necessarily the motorcycle change to the must come Box, longer kept the rear tires are not, otherwise threatened the black flag.

Teammate Dani Pedrosa did it. Meanwhile, manager Alberto Puig (in the pay of HRC) knew it. Pedrosa's crew chief Mike Leitner knew. Even Stoners longtime crew chief Cristian Gabarrini knew it, but had nothing to talk about at the request of Márquez manager Alzamora in the box for the Spaniard, he was tolerated only as an observer.

Nevertheless, it did not make the HRC manager Nakamoto and Suppo to summon championship leader Márquez in Australia in good time to the box. He got the black flag, lost in one fell swoop 25 points on Lorenzo and then saved four points on the World Cup final.

Strange but true: Dani Pedrosa's troops then showed little willingness to cooperate. He begrudged the teammates obviously the World Cup triumph. But in the fight against Rossi, the Repsol duo is now peacefully united.

As in the KTM Moto3 World Cup to Barcelona in 2014 no less than 27 consecutive races won against Honda to Nakamoto got carried to a strange statement against SPEEDWEEK.com. "KTM destroyed motorsports", was his allegation.

"What have we done? We have read the rules and built a racing machine, "said KTM Racing Director Pit Beirer then-surprise unmoved and easily.

Honda went so far as to an elaborate Moto3 factory appearance for 2014th For the new NSF 250RW the bore of KTM was after the KTM model copied (since 2012 at 81 mm) plus the dual exhaust. KTM engineer Kurt instinct felt honored.

They spoke of Austrian development assistance for the Japanese.
It is for Honda obviously hard to take that a little rebellious offroad forged from the remote Upper Austria's Innviertel the World Group Honda, with its millions of units in all kinds of motorcycle racing series around punched on the nose.

Honda: The Loss Series 2015

The 2015 season is hard for the success spoiled commander Nakamoto to cope. The year has started with the defeat at the Dakar Rally where KTM dusted the 14th win in a row.

Then Rossi and Yamaha took the first grand prix of the year in Qatar the championship lead in the MotoGP. And Rossi not made no move to leave them, at least on a Honda rider.

The Honda Racing Corporation in 2014 after ten Márquez wins in series in the first ten races on cloud 7, threatened to be even temporarily to the third force behind Yamaha and Ducati.

After all rushed in the Moto3 World Championship Danny Kent in spring from success to success. But this spectacle was not of long duration. Since the end of August Kents lead has shrunk to the KTM rider Oliveira from 110 to 24 points.

From an early World Cup celebration in August was a nail-biter - decision next Sunday.

Tough times for Honda. The Japanese came now even the putative Moto3 World Championship winning team Leopard Racing lost, it switches to archrival KTM. In this package, the exceptional talent Fabio Quartararo, where Honda's future Marc Márquez saw hidden.

Also on other scenes, it was not just gorgeous for Honda 2015th A small selection:

US Supercross 250 West Coast: 1. Yamaha
US Supercross 250 East Coast 1. KTM
US Moto Cross 250: 1. Yamaha. 2. KTM
US Supercross 450: 1. KTM
US Moto Cross 450: 1. KTM
Moto Cross World Cup 250: 1. Honda privateer team
Moto Cross World Cup 450: 1. Yamaha. (The Honda works team had no chance, the KTM and Husqvarna-Stars were injured).
Rally Championships: 1. Matthias Walkner, KTM.
The Enduro World Championship title was shared by KTM, Husqvarna and TM.

Conclusion: Honda has lost all the major titles in the motorcycle sector against either KTM or Yamaha, with the exception of the Moto3 World Championship. There Honda has won the Constructors' Championship.

"Now looks Nakamoto, that it is not so easy to take part in various series and be competitive everywhere," sneers the competition.

Money alone will not win any races.

But the HRC's grief could be even greater. Test rider Casey Stoner is back on track, the Ducati camp.

Cold comfort for Nakamoto: In Formula 1, it is still much worse for Honda. Alonso and Button are using already the eleventh engine, four are allowed. For Mercedes no problem.
Yamaha won the Triple

In its present statements are Shuhei Nakamoto disqualified over long distances himself.

After the smog from Malaysia one must via a clouded perception not be surprised.

Nevertheless Such contradictory statements are the largest motorcycle manufacturer unworthy.

There is not the slightest reason now to fan the flames of the dispute between Rossi and Lorenzo Márquez.

And there is little reason, Marc Márquez presented as exemplary fair and responsible racers.
