I know you mentioned rmz450, but have you looked at the prices of 24+ kx450's? They are about the same price as a rmz and you don't have to kick start them or buy a new shock. Looks like your in Oregon, here's a 24 kx450 for $4,500. Not my bike, just saw it cruising marketplace. KX450

I wonder how accurate google is if the bandi wasn’t offered as a 125. Might’ve been a mislabeled Pursang as a Bultaco Bandido (since the Bandido wasn’t offered as a 125?)

4/29/2026 1:14pm Coop is just coming to the terms with the hard reality that his season is over. In years past he was able to rattle Kenny, when riding behind him or with podium banter. But Kenny's riding >Cooper's riding. Wishing for a way to "Getting back to old Coop" is telling.

Great seeing this post coming back up. Haven’t raced a GNCC but did a couple hair scrambles back in Maryland back in the day on 500’s where we had to wiggle the bars to get through the technical tight tree sections. Learn to read the trail terrain before you get to it. Learn to race in mud. Learn to ride in DEEP ruts Get a good start.

Who doesn’t love a good moto history mystery? And here is an update, although not totally conclusive… Nelson Whitehill was from Escondido, CA and signed up for the 1974 Hangtown 125 National. In the program (see attachment) he is listed on being on a BANDI, which makes no sense because they apparently don't exist in motocross. He is the only person in the program with a 5-letter brand, as everyone else is listed as: HON, SUZ, PEN, etc. However, Whitehill also seems to have one sponsor listed: "Ennette W. Bullock" And in a current records search, there is a listing...

4/28/2026 3:14pm The Bultaco Bandido was a 360, and not offered as a 125 machine. It could be a mistake on top of a mistake, perhaps a mislabeled Pursang maybe?

Hunter has the starts... but recently so does Kenny. Hunter is great on hard pack... but so is Kenny. Kenny has the speed... but so does Hunter. Hunter has shown cracks in recent weeks... but so did Kenny in weeks prior. Kenny apparently fades in mains... well recently so has Hunter. Hunter typically finishes strong... well recently so has Kenny.

Diffey and Will cheering for Hunter and Davies was by far the worst part of the broadcast. Announcers should stay neutral.

But, the runner/flagger primary concern with a downed rider tangled in a bike is preventing him from being landed on or ridden over. Damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario. Do we know what caused him to break the leg in the first place?

4/26/2026 12:12pm Agreed I hope it stays clean. However both Denver and SLC track maps show sand sections. So we might have the setup for a near identical scenario if the KR and HL racing is close.

4/26/2026 11:55am It looks like normal used oil. That sheen is likely ground off clutch material. Have you cleaned the oil screen yet?

Some of you act like he's never ridden a dirt bike before. He's a world champion with exceptional skills. Between the Kawasaki and KTM practice supercross tracks I'm sure he's spun a couple thousand laps. He's qualified on top, won heat races. He's holeshot and leads laps. Looks like he's got the hang of things to me. So why the poor results? He can't blame the Kawi anymore.
