You still have to qualify in the night show by finishing high enough in the heat race. If you don’t qualify there, there’s another race called a semi where you can make it. Depends upon how you define need. The benefits of having an agent, aside from the obvious RE: negotiation, is the connections. These provide opportunities for deals with more brands, other industries, etc. Being with someone like Wasserman is beneficial in that they represent some of the top talent in the world from multiple disciplines. It's like a big club of sorts.

Because who the hell wants even more drawn out program just for gate picks that literally don’t matter anyway….we could add 50 more commercials and down time just to get through 4 heats, then 2 semis, then 2 lcqs then finally to the mains the literally only racing of the night. Everything before is qualifying… they have a 3 hour race day live program of qualifying and then 2 out of 3 hours of the traditional format is also qualifying when you get down to it. Triple crowns uses qualifying - imagine this, for qualifying, and then the night program...

Lmao you miss the entire point of why people like triple crowns. Semis is basically a second lcq. Even more pointless drawn out qualifying. Triple crowns aren’t just “more racing” it’s actual racing for championship with all the top guys facing off. The thing we actually want to see. Heat races, semis, and lcqs are half the top guys, then almost nobody we care about, and then literally nobody any one cares about besides the carnage of the last turn that the monster jam fans among us love

It feels the the AMA, Feld, and MXSports (Hereinafter referred to as the SMX Cabal) are using SMX term as an single word to describe MX, SX, SMX. By calling champions as "SMX" before the term was coined seems to be intended to simplify for the fans to one single thing. Yeah, they race in stadiums sometimes, outdoors sometimes, but it's all SMX. Core fans will never like, but also aren't important to the Cabal, because the core won't go away in any meaningful numbers.

Motocross is one of the only professional motorsports where the general public can buy essentially the same equipment that is raced at the professional level. Thus, quieter bikes at the professional level equals quieter bikes for consumers which means hopefully we can keep more riding areas open. It's literally that simple, it's a battle that we've been fighting for decades and is nothing new.
