mxtech1 Added a reply to would you go to a full electric supercross
3/22/2022 7:00am TBH....the KTM Jr. challenge on e50s was a nice break from the 250/450 noise at Indy. I'm not saying that I want racing silence, I would 100% miss the sound of internal combustion engines, but the bikes also do not need to be as loud as they currently, especially at indoor stadiums. Raper's bike was so effing loud I have...

3/20/2022 9:23am It might not look great for the Tv package, but the racing action in-person was fantastic every single time the gate dropped last night. And not just for the lead, there were greats battles going on for 10-22 spots even though they were sometimes being lapped.
mxtech1 Added a reply to Barcia docked 3-points ?
3/20/2022 9:16am For Barcia, -3 points sucks but not a major deal at this point I’m the season. However, being docked a position, or DQ’d, has massive implications on his paycheck for the night. Do you really think the AMA has the gonads to strip potentially hundreds of thousands of salary & bonus money from someone like Barcia? That’s a big no.

3/20/2022 9:13am Honest question that has been on my mind. JBone has deep relationships with most of the current riders, managers, OEMs. Do you think that allows him to vote fairly and not be impartial. Or is it a conflict of interest?

mxtech1 Added a reply to Where were all the Star amateur kids at RCSX Daytona????
3/8/2022 7:10pm I’m guessing that for the Daytona event, in particular, there are a ton of other fees and expenses that come along with the event that make for an expensive day of racing. looks like they charge you for every little thing they possibly can on top of a pretty high race registration fee.
mxtech1 Added a reply to RM 144 or any 144 gear ratio
3/8/2022 6:40pm I assume your goal is to be in 3rd more often? If you are running a shorty silencer, go back to a longer silencer and possibly even try the stock pipe. You can keep playing around with gearing, but at the end of the day it’s a 125 and frequent shifting is just part of the game.
mxtech1 Started a new thread Using a Sedan to trailer a motorcycle?
3/5/2022 6:46pm Anyone have experience using a 4-door sedan to pull a lightweight trailer and motorcycle? I have ‘17 Nissan Altima and wondering the pros/cons of using it to pull my bike to the track on the weekends? I see they make receiver hitch kits for it for a Class 2 mount. And I suppose I would try to find a small...

3/5/2022 7:23am What’s the difference on the transmission between pulling a trailer and bike with a combined weight of say 650 lbs vs. (4) adults riding in the car weighing 175lbs each (700 lbs)? I understand the CVT for these cars are not great designs, but I baby the car and drive with a light foot at all times, mostly commuting.

mxtech1 Added a reply to Hinson clutch baskets- the REAL difference?
3/5/2022 7:17am From my experience, any billet clutch components are huge upgrades over OEM parts. But comparing billet products from one aftermarket company to another, you aren’t going to find any major differences in performance, quality, or durability. They are all pretty darn good because they use similar materials, heat treatments, and coatings. If you can afford Hinson, go for it. But...

3/4/2022 7:06am I never knew the name of that style of vintage trailers. Thanks for sharing! I could definitely see a big advantage to a trailer like that with decent suspension. I've had experience with other small trailers in the past and they just bounce all over the place and are noisy as all heck.

3/4/2022 6:48am Thanks All. Sounds like the low weight is not a major factor for the car, so I think I am going to go for it.

3/4/2022 6:48am Get yourself a nice vintage Holscalw trailer, can be set up for 1,2 or 3 bike, have springs and shocks for a nice ride. Can be found cheap and have a ton of vintage cool factor.
