ArmPumped Liked a reply to forum topic Ellie Reed Shares Her Thoughts on "Pros Who Can't Ride Whoops"

The irony of a bunch of men saying that a woman who's never hit Supercross whoops isn't allowed to critique technique, on a forum solely consisting of Joe Blows that don't ride Supercross constantly critiquing the pros.

I DID listen to Keith on the Whiskey Throttle show. Most of his career success was largely in part due to being in the right scenarios at the right time, but not necessarily due to him being a great leader or team manager savant. It was also VERY apparent that he was mostly motivated to climb the Yamaha corporate ladder....which...

So you're telling me that you were unimpressed by a TV commentator who has no formal training in media, broadcasting, or public relations? Yet somehow lands a spot in the booth immediately after ending his riding career? Wow....shocker....
Pierer Mobility ultimately reaps the profits from all 3 brands. They control the sales ratio by the yearly production volume. Not sure how they determine the overall volume of each, but I can assure you they aren’t “competing” against each other. Business decisions are made at the executive levels, the individual brands are merely executing the yearly goals. Sometimes it’s...

mxtech1 Added a reply to Future of 250 class and SX futures?

2/2/2022 7:14am
I used to be a long time believer that East/West should be eliminated making the 250s a "premier" pro class alongside 450s. My reason for this was force the best 250 riders to line up against each other every weekend and compete for wins. After watching the last couple rounds of Futures, I have completely changed my mind. Aside from...

Charlie - Thanks so much for dropping in! I checked out your Insta and website, very helpful. The "tech" videos are well done. It all makes sense now!

I’m Charlie, the owner/inventor of Slipshot. The hydraulic dampener is adjustable. Think of it like your rear shock; faster, less dampening, slower, more dampening. There is a spring inside the trigger barrel that holds tension on the trigger so once the clutch fully releases, the trigger locks the dampener in place and your clutch works normally after that. Check out my Instagram @slipshotcharlie I recently posted a video on how it works and the adjustments.

OK, the linear feed cylinder component makes sense, and I can see how that interacts with the extra TIG weld on the lever. But what’s going on with the internals inside the AL housing? Any idea how the lever arm works and how the cable is routed? Maybe ML512 can get a few more angles for the next PitBits.

WTF is going on here? It's round 3 of a Pro SX championship.... Vince has been a legitimate speed threat and has challenged to win heats and podium main events. Craig made the decision that going after Vince was worth it. Vince had EVERY right to defend his position however he saw fit. Some of you were never taught to...

See Kawi's current setup, which could be duplicated for any bike to determine gear position. With the speed sensor on the output shaft, you can measure the ratio at which the output shaft sprocket is turning vs. the engine RPM. Since each gearset within the transmission has a unique ratio, the data can be post-processed in a way that...

I met Jason Friberg about 3-4 years ago at a local private practice track in WI. He came up from IL to ride with his friends and was taking pictures. Since then his hobby of taking pictures has turned into an adventure of going all over the US and having various jobs intertwined in the industry. Anyhow a couple months back he asked for donations to get a kid he saw at an arenacross a new bike as the one he had was in pretty rough shape. Even though he didn't have a new bike the kid was having the...

From a statistical perspective, 20-min long main events are long enough that it allows the field to sort itself out in a similar fashion each race. The cream rises to the top….. When you look at lap pass charts from recent years, MOST, not all but most, of the passing is done by the 12th minute of the main. From...

I’d rather have data and have to decide what to do with it than have no data and make a decision with less information. That’s a No brainer hombre.

The system you’re describing is already offered by AiM. Taipan ECU -> AiM SmartyCam + an AiM GPS08 module -> AiM data hub -> ECU CAN connector -> AiM memory module Download data after each ride then can use AiM software, or something much more capable, like nCode, to post-process. This would give you the ability to create videos, with...
