The Solo 2 data logger on Haarup's bike is from AiM Sports and it captures GPS + engine CAN channels through the bike's ECU. Neither LitPro or Crossbox have products capable of this level of data logging as this configuration from Aim Sports.

This is an example of one of the things that used to be super-frustrating to me. People want insider info. But then an insider comes here, speaks openly, and spends what was probably a fair amount of time crafting a perfectly reasonable explanation. Then he gets told he's wrong. Eventually, the insider(s) stop responding, and the vacuum is filled with nonsense from people who are speculating, rather than speaking from actual experience.

No victory lap. No burnouts. No time for a winner to celebrate with the crowd due to podium TV schedule. Lame.

Might be dorky, but at least we know the difference between “are” and “our” 😂

We'll never get a straight answer on this until a 3rd party company (not a helmet manufacturer) conducts a full lab test of each model and then releases the full data set. It's a shame because we all know each helmet manufacturer is already doing this, but they hold the test results as confidential information and/or only release bits &...

XGPS160 runs at 10hz which means 10 GPS data points per second. I believe most sport watches with GPS are only running 1hz. To put that difference into perspective, if you are going 30mph down a straight, the XGPS is going to capture a data point every 4.4 feet. @ 1 hz at the same speed, you would travel 44...
Anyone happen to know why KTM / Pankl would have change the countershaft design so drastically part way through the model year 20 KTM/Husq 450s production run? It appears the "early" year 2020 builds got this 79433610000 high tooth count ball-spline shaft, while the "later" model year 20s got a revised shaft 79533010000 with a wide-tooth straight spline. You should have an easy time finding another job in that field/industry. Have you been keeping an eye on LinkedIn to see what your job market opportunities are? Stick it out and get that lump sum money. If worse comes to worse, you could bridge your income with a part time or min wage job for a few/weeks or months...
From my assembly experience as a manufacturing year, historical data shows that limited edition or low take-rate configurations offer a significantly higher chance for a quality defect. However, building all 400 FEs in a row down the assembly line would mitigate any major concerns. Usually after a few assembly cycles, the operator has the different build processes figured out and...
Have you given any thought to relocating out of California? Could you benefit from making Florida home base due to the significantly cheaper cost of living? Even if it’s just for a few years so that you can buckle down and get your finances squared away. Otherwise man just keep your head up and realize all this is transitory and...
NO. FE models are built on the exact same assembly line, by the same factory workers, using the same tooling and process controls as the regular production models. I'm sure the FE model feels a bit different, but it's because it has different parts on it which could slightly impact something like the feel of the vibration. On the other...
Unpopular Opinion: MC would have only amassed a fraction of his total wins had his Golden years been in the RC+ era. I know this is extremely hypothetical, but the field in MC's era did not train & practice like today's field. MC was still extremely fast and talented, but you drop him in today's field and there's no way...

I'll put it in the plainest terms I can: There is Kawasaki. THE Kawasaki. KHI, that is. They are a multi-billion dollar company, which makes trains, ships and motorcycles. Most of their executives are barely aware that a KX is green. Then, there is Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA. They are the guys who sell KXs in America. They want you to buy a KX. They hire a race team (it may be a division of their own company, or even simply a department within their company also - either way, KMC calls the shots). [b]They want to win, but they...

A clutch lets you load up the drivetrain, rev the motor to the moon, then dump all that energy into the rear wheel almost instantaneously. This spike in torque to the rear wheel can far exceed what the motor alone is capable of.

PAD2 Bosch 12v electric coolant pump Then you'll need to design and 3D print a custom top cover for the pump housing that gets the inlet & outlet bungs pointed in the right direction for your bike. You're also going to need an aftermarket ECU, like the AiM Taipan, that has a digital output on the ECU for running the...
Tuning suspension and basic rebuild services are 2 completely different areas of expertise. Rebuild services (fluid, seals, bushings, spring rate changes, etc.) is fairly easy to learn and will be a huge money maker for you because it's quick and easy work. Race Tech bible, OEM service manuals, and YouTube tutorials will take you all the way. Tearing down a...
