Other sports set their Hall of Fame up so that players go in associated with certain teams. Like Derek Jeter went in as a Yankee. If our sport did that, what teams/mfgs would the legends go in under?

RC - Honda for me because of the pure dominance he had in 3 years there. He only lost 2 nationals on a Honda.
MC - Honda
RJ - Honda
Hannah - Yamaha
Chad - Yamaha

Others?

Thought it would be a cool bench racing topic.

RV - Kawi

Stew - Kawi

Dunge - probably KTM over Suzuki. This one seemed tough, but I think most of his titles came on KTM

RC is a tough one. Toss up between Kawi and Honda really.

Counting the 125 class, Carmichael had:

7 championships on Kawasaki (97 125MX, 98 125SX, 98 125MX, 99 125MX, 00 250MX, 01 250SX & 01 250MX)
5 on Honda (02 250SX, 02 250MX, 03 250SX, 03 250MX, 04 250MX)
4 on Suzuki (05 250SX, 05 250MX, 06 450SX, 06 450MX)

But, since was with Kawasaki for 5 years but only 3 years each for Honda and Suzuki, his championship rate was best on Honda:

1.7 championships/year on Honda.
1.4 on Kawasaki
1.3 on Suzuki

Emig - Kawasaki (easy one I know)
Jimmy Weinert - Kawasaki
Kent Howerton - Suzuki
LaRocco - He won both his titles for Kawasaki but I always think of Honda with him . Probably because he rode one for so long and retired on one .

When I think Howerton, I'm seeing him on Husky. Same with Sun and, Mikkola. Hallman.

Carmichael has by synonymous with Kawasaki since he was like 8 years old. Same with Stewart.

McGrath = Honda
Dungey = KTM
Johnson = Honda
Bradshaw = Yamaha
Jeff Matasavich = Kawasaki

Cold take bro. 2nd all time in total wins, 5 titles, all time leader in 125 National wins, a perfect season. If he doesn’t get in, there are only like 4 guys that would.

Barry Bonds
Mark McGuire
Roger Clemens

Not in the baseball hall of fame, for a reason that has nothing to do with stats

Maybe you should change it to if our HOF was like Football's?

I feel like you’re getting hung up on all the wrong details here bro. Let’s just keep it to what team they’d be associated with

All of this makes no difference since in baseball the player chooses the team they go in with, if on different teams. The Op used Jeter as an example but he was a Yankee from start to finish. RC certainly would not choose Honda. And Bradshaw, Chicken and LaRocco wouldn’t be hall of famers. I’m not sure Bradshaw and Chicken are MX hall of famers either. LaRocco maybe. 2 titles? Is 2 titles the benchmark for hall of fame?

But he's right, if you're going to compare the two then it is what it is, Stew is a no go

Instead of HOF aspirations why don't we start with the goal of a union for the riders like the baseball players' have?
