mxgeoff Added a reply to How do think JS will adapt to the Yamaha 450?
4/16/2016 7:58pm Stewart is going to make Reed look silly, hahahaha. Who got the number one plate in 2008, and if I count correctley Reed has two SX titles and Stewart one. How can you say Reed looks stupid compared to Stewart. Geoff

8/10/2008 2:48pm Shenzi, You tried to say that it's because of YS that the teams are stopping, but in fact Molson stopping has nothing to do with YS, it's as much personal as professional. Jan De Groots team is stopping, or changing over to the Pourcel ownership because Mrs De Groot doesn't want anything to do with it, and the Pourcel team...

8/10/2008 10:30am Shenzi, Don't make comments about his Kawasaki thing without knowing details. It's makes you look silly. Geoff

8/10/2008 4:54am Bingo, and I think the manufactors are up for something like that. Five races to add to the Supercross scheduel and then scrap the AMA MX series. That is what I am hearing. Imagine it, five races like the MXoN was in Budds Creek, new venues, big sponsorship and television. Would kick the daylights out of what you are seeing...

8/10/2008 3:16am I think this is what the whole world have been waiting for. A World Supercross series in OZ, Japan, Europe, America. Working with the FIM and listening to what YS have to offer is a great reason for all this to work. Looks like YS USA came along at the right time. Just a thought, but how powerful would it...
mxgeoff Added a reply to With Reed, Stewart and Windham out of the Nationals
4/16/2016 7:58pm My reference to farmers and a t-shirt salesman was a long time ago, and to be honest many of the owners of race circuits in America are farmers and yes John Ayes is a t-shirt salesman. Not sure what the beef is about that. I can tell you Jonathan Beasley is a great guy and that fella from Coloroda, I...

8/9/2008 4:05am FTE, I think the combining of the World Supercross and World Motocross is an awesome idea. It would bring back the Trans-AMA formula and give the American riders a shorter season (assuming the American riders would only do the two USGPs). Everyone wins this way. Seems like the Nationals are falling a little like the Golden State series did in...
mxgeoff Added a reply to crazy Euro talk
7/23/2008 9:44am No doubt the best riders in the world are in America. Last weekends podium finishers Cody Cooper and Micheal Byrne showed that at the 2007 MXoN. Cooper from memory was 17th in Saturday timed practise and finished 12th in his qualification race and Byrne finished third in his saturday qualification race, beating Yoshi Atsuta and Julien Bill in the process...

7/23/2008 5:47am If it (AMA series) goes one moto then that will make the MXoN more interesting. The euro's should be fitter in those second motos. Geoff

7/17/2008 12:13am So if he is pulling 2000us to 4000us a week in prizemoney and other stuff and then another maybe 4000us a week from his personal sponsors, he is on around say 8000 a week. So he makes like 320,000 a year. And they start a website to try and get the fans to help out. Sounds a little weird. Now...

7/2/2008 11:45pm If Mr Ainsworth tells me he has contact with riders, should I believe him or not. As it seems now, I shouldn't. If Sean says he didn't have contact with Europe should I believe him or not. I mean I have dealt with my share or riders who say one thing and do another. I am not saying Sean did...

7/2/2008 11:37pm Dorna was in charge of the MXON in 2002, and yes, that was a bit of a mess wasn't it.
mxgeoff Added a reply to Geoff, question re USGP
7/2/2008 11:33pm When American riders ride a Grand Prix, they don't do it for money. Kevin Windham (thanks to a Stefan Everts comment) didn't win the 1999 USGP because he was getting a payment. Unfortunately riders like Windham don't come along that often, so will any of the younger America riders want to race the GP, I doubt it. Will some of...

7/2/2008 7:07am I think Mills got paid, and maybe Brown also. It is easy for riders to say they didn't get paid and then go home without feeling like they quite. Geoff

7/2/2008 6:48am 500 guy. Riders still make good start money from racing Belgian championship, or some Internationals. The top riders in europe (I mean the Coppins, Philippaerts, Cairoli, De Dyckers, Strijbos and so on) are making more money than they ever did. Get your facts right. The riders don't pay the 10,000, the teams do, and it's for things to make the...

7/1/2008 11:08pm If Marc is on it, he can finish 2-2, if he isn't he can finish 15-15. Marc is a very different rider than the one who last raced Southwick. He beat Alessi once, why can't he do it again. Although, like I always say, American's are faster in America and Euro's faster in europe. From what I hear though Alessi...

7/1/2008 11:02pm Sean, A lot of people like you over here Sean, you will always be welcome. I think you might agree, American's are faster in America and euro's are faster in europe. Still, I think you would have done a lot better had you stayed on another year. You were also one of the few guys who wasn't hassled too much...

4/16/2016 7:27pm Hahahahaha. Better call Harry Ainsworth then, he was the one that told me you contacted him. Are you still interested in coming to europe. Geoff
