So, 5 out of 15 instead of the maybe 2 I said. Wow, what a great difference. Hope you're proud of that one.
Ask any team in America and they will all tell you there are serious cut-backs coming.
Serious cut backs are coming from everywhere Geoffrey, Europe too is feeling the crisis and it will become more important there too. Lots of talks about serious cut backs every where or just "changes" in ways to do things. Adapting to new environment.
Stewart, Reed and Windham are the three best 450cc riders in America at the moment, and they won't be doing the Nationals next year, but by your way of looking at it you make it look like a good thing, hahaha.
Mate, stop bringing Kdub back, he's almost already fully retired. Again, you bring back the same argument about the best top 3 again. I don't understand how you may think I said it was a good thing that they're not there, but things will move on. Reed hasn't been doing the series for the last 2 years and no one cares. The fans would go whether he's there or not, they didn't stop coming the year he stopped.
Being a dick is normal at this game of trying to be the biggest dick. You are baiting and fishing every week with you propaganda threads and playing the YS-dick, others play the "not swallowing everything YS" dicks.
You're as partisan as I am anyway. Being a dick here is a matter of perception.
Freecaster outbid mediazone for the live internet, man, you really don't know anything about this do you. So you guys are getting some of your sponsors money to pay them? Or is it a move towards the end of Live TV broadcast?
MXGeof is the most idiotic and biased person in the industry. He does way more harm to the GP series than he does good. He makes Americans want to hate the GPs. He is constantly bending the truth printing misinformation and looks for any opportunity to belittle Americans and their AMA series.
Things like the three fastest 450 riders mentioned above.
What about Langston? did he not win the title just last year? Townley, is he not a past World Champion and considered by you at one time to be as fast as RC and Stewart?
What about Alessi? Has he not got second in every outdoor series he has ever competed in including the 450s last year?
What about Ferry? Didn't he completely wax your GP guys last year at the MXDN's.
What about RV? Your insider news says he isn't riding 450's next year outdoors?
You sir are an idiot. If you ever want your series to get respect in this country. Quit!!! That will do more for your side of the pond than live TV you can't even watch in the biggest market in the world!! Ha, ha.
Your site is good for one thing. A good laugh everytime one of your pieces is put up. So I got to thank you for that.

I was hired by YS because I am always positive about the sport in europe. I am also hired by many other companies, and YES, I am biased towards them. I don't have a problem with it. Obviously you guys do.
Shenzi, you need to read your stuff before posting a new post. You said it was local village backing for some GP's, I corrected you and told you in fact it is government backing from the country and you then turn around and maybe up some other comments. It could even be 7 rounds with gov backing, but who cares.
I don't have to make people hate GP MX, you guys can do that yourselves. Thing is the GP series is growing fast and the AMA series is slowing fast. If you guys can't see that then you are really not looking.
The economy is making europe more interested, and America less interesting. I know you guys won't admit that, but thats not my problem.
I think YS are interested in the American scene because it's got potential. The potential I feel isn't really in the AMA Nationals, but in making some really cool races.
Geoff
you have reason to believe in them Geoff!
I havn't seen anybody prove a fucking thing besides wanting to come here.
The hell I havn't.
I've got some oceanfront property for sale in Kansas too.
Geoff you're full of crap mate! This is what I wrote:
LOL!! How many governments have invested money in the 15 races that you have? I am sure most of the GP's get support from local towns, like in the US but really how much are governments involved financially? 1 or 2 GP's out of 15?
So like I said, I thought it was 1 or 2, it's actually 5, but maybe 7, but you don't seem to know neither and most probably you guys at YS call it "government" because it is an official in a town or village and it probably has nothing to do with a government, ministry of youth or sports, in some cases.
"I don't have to make people hate GP MX, you guys can do that yourselves. Thing is the GP series is growing fast and the AMA series is slowing fast. If you guys can't see that then you are really not looking."
I don't think anyone "hates" GPs here. Everyone loves MX and MX racing. It is the political bullcrap your master and you are trying to bring in by trying to paint a negative image on AMA Outdoors in order to serve your own interest to take over MX in this country, that we hate. The same stupid "keep telling them, they'll start to believe in it" propaganda. The hypocrisy of your posts and threads, again and again baiting for the same debates, the same responses, the same bashed over and over again arguments. That's what is annoying and I think that's what you make us hate, your management.
How is it going with World SX by the way, you guys already sealed a deal to get it from Dorna?
"I never said I wasn't bias towards YS, I am, believe 100% in them, what I said about DC is that he was calling me bias, and that is hypocritical, because he is just the same.
I was hired by YS because I am always positive about the sport in europe. I am also hired by many other companies, and YES, I am biased towards them. I don't have a problem with it. Obviously you guys do."
Mate, don't even compare yourself with DC. You're employed as a propaganda tool by an octopus, DC is a promoter and a publisher and has a strong record of doing as much as he can for this sport in America. Of course his enterprises try to make some profits in the process, but so do all publishers and promoters around the world, no one said he was leading an NGO but the sport benefits from his involvement, the win-win thing you know. You, on the other hand, are definitely passionate about what you do, for sure, but you're just a tool for someone else. And a good one for sure.
Of course we have a problem with you being THAT biased towards your employer, the Octopus of World MX, on here because of the tone you try to use in your posts, trying to "open our eyes" and lecture us: you can't have any credibility in the debates about US MX for that same reason. Most of us on here are partisans, you're employed.
Good spin about the being employed to write propaganda. You know what makes me laugh about you guys. I used to write about Langston, Langston, Langston (2000) and Reed, Reed, Reed (2001) long before YS were around, long before I did work for them.
I have always written how great the GP's are, but for some reason now it's propaganda, hahahaha. How funny is that.
Geoff
As good of a journalist you are, as fair as you want to be, you unfortunately have the shadow of the World MX Octopus casted over you and that makes your posts and threads controversial and annoying because they come back over and over again, with the same purpose.
Geoff isn't positive about GPs cos he gets paid, he gets paid because he's so positive about them. Its obviouse YS would have picked a guy like him to do stuff for them. If you could find a single negative article that Geoff wrote about GPs before YS came along then maybe people could argue the whole propoganda line without sounding like such ass holes
I'm not saying its right that Geoff says some inflamatory stuff about the Nationals cos its not, in fact I think he often undermines some good points when he comes out with some of his more offensive stuff. But he is Australian and as everyone knows, by law they are taught at school to be the most offensive people in the room at any given time. I grew up there, thats should make me quite good too ;0) My point is its hard for you to be so outraged about Geoffs views on racing, when mags like MXA and Racerx (both involved in NPG) have had more than thier fair say over the years on how badly things are run in GPs.
Meyer is not like DC. Meyer is a tool. DC uses tools. Meyer is very good at making us dislike his employer, and you're just making it pretty fun too, with your condescending tone, trying to lecture me, with YOUR side of things.
Again, as I said earlier, compare things that can be compared and don't just repeat what your told from your side:
DC didn't use his "journalistic position" to defend the NPG, he used his position as a member of the NPG organization and as a promoter. Like Luongo, DC used the media to express his views on MXGP and US Nationals. No different than Luongo. And the only thing you can catch DC complaining about the GP was the fact that riders don't get prize money and the fact that the grand old tracks are gone. If you have anything else, please give us a link.
Please apart from the prize money issue, find me a proof that DC and MXA have said that the GP's are poorly run.
Reading your post makes me laugh a bit though "He has a small website and posts on Forum, that's about it". LOL, I almost wants to start a fund raising for poor Geoff.
Nothing is outrageous about Geoff's views, like you wrote it, HE IS PAID. Mort, when you look for propaganda tools, do you go for the guys who are positive or the ones who are critical? I am wondering why YS didn't hire Matt Allard and others, like some French journalists
Right now there is a big push from Luongo and his team for the World SX. Meyer is trying to make the U.S. look bad as usual because that's what Luongo has been doing for a year -- he's trying to grab Japan's attention and support by making the US Nationals look bad, so that they put more resources in his series. Come on, how many factory teams do you have right now Alex? KTM, Aprilia, CCM, TM, where are the Japanese manufacturers? Instead of having 2, 3 or 5 support-teams that can fold down (for any reasons, especially non-GP related, like we see with the 3 Kawi teams), the series would have more credibility if you had real factory teams like in the US. But you need Japan's back up for that.
And regarding the US Nationals versus the US SX, come on, Think about it:
The reason people go SX only here here is because there IS Supercross here. There's no series over there, and so no one has the option of racing half the year -- everyone is already only racing half the year!
The point was simple, bit like you;0) You can't critisise Geoff like you have when US mags directly involved in running Nationals use there position to attack/belittle the World championships. You said -
'But don't you agree though that it would be difficult for you to trust/believe someone who's paid by the person that controls the world championships' - What? as oposed to believing the person that IS in control of the National series?
When DC said - 'Everyone has there ideas on how the sport should be run, but its not whats going on over there, they have not reached any level whatsoever'
- 'There are NO young European riders that want to stay in Europe ...it is a FAR lesser series'
- 'They may be able to watch it live on the internet but so what!'
That sounded to me like a level critisism you wouldn't even hear from Meyer let alone Luongo. And don't even start me on the sort of BS MXA come out with. there stuff is well below the belt.
DCs opinions are fine by me and so are Geoffs, I'd like to think people can form there own opinions on the subject without guys like you having a fuckin meltdown lol.If you don't like Geoffs opinion then thats fine but don't try and make out like he's doing anything different to what the US mags are.
DCs opinions are fine by me and so are Geoffs, I'd like to think people can form there own opinions on the subject without guys like you having a fuckin meltdown lol.If you don't like Geoffs opinion then thats fine but don't try and make out like he's doing anything different to what the US mags are.
Alex, you are doing exactly what I am doing. there's no meltdown whatsoever, don't dramatize things. You are standing by your party with full support and by pointing fingers at the other. Normal. You believe in your party and despite what you are trying to say, you sound against the US Nationals the way they are run or at least you are against DC, MXA or the US by comparing with Geoff, who's just an employee of YS. Like I said, in my opinion those are not comparable due to their level of decision making and involvement in the management of said series.
And don't say that DC's opinion are fine by you when you lists supposed quotes and than turn around and said that Luongo never criticized th US Nationals. Man, you have no credibility whatsoever just for stating that. Go back to his interviews post MXdN, when he was in full political swing in order to try to get the AMA to give the Nationals to YS. Come on, you can't be that biased, you need to add some sense of neutrality in your posts to be credible as a non-partisan.
When DC said - 'Everyone has there ideas on how the sport should be run, but its not whats going on over there, they have not reached any level whatsoever'
That sentence doesn't make sense. that doesn't look proper. You need to give the link to the full statement or tell us EXACTLY where it was posted or in which article/magazine it was published.
- 'There are NO young European riders that want to stay in Europe ...it is a FAR lesser series'
where did DC wrote that it is a "FAR lesser series"?
As far as Euro riders, for sure, Pourcel wanted to come, Swanepoel looked for a ride, Searle is coming, Rattray looked for rides here, Paulin wants to come, Soubeyras wants to come, Antsie will come. They all say that they want to race in the US at some point. most of the Euro young riders who still have a chance to get a decent ride here.
- 'They may be able to watch it live on the internet but so what!' Of course us little chore of pure MX fans we want to see it live on the Internet, in a 4 by 3 inches screen, but so what. what does that really bring to the growth of MX and new markets. How many unique visitors did they get this year on Mediazone?
Pit Row
when was the last time he posted something that wasn't controversial regarding US Nationals and just some genuine info he wanted to share?
you're too funny.
Go for it now because that was my last post on that thread anyway.
I've never posted something negative about Natioanls what would the point in that be? If I said something that came accross derogatory when making a comparison to GPs that was an unfortunate by product of me trying to make people see the GPs arent as sick as people like you would have others believe.
Incidentally I grew up reading the US mags (MXA mostly) and therefore didn't apreciate GPs till I was older. Quite often I see you post something inflamatory regarding the GPs usually in a thread where someone has said something positive about the state of GPs, but you would never do that about Nationals and thats my point. If you claim your just looking out for the riders (or however you would justify it) how come your not asking tough questions of the National series?
I never said Luongo hadn't critisised the Nationals, seriously stop making things up.
DCs interview was with DMXS, thats why it doesn't translate to txt in a good way, it was a conversation. The line about no one wanting to stay in Europe can only be seen as dramatically overstretching the truth, although if Geoff said it you would accuse him of propaganda lol. lesss than 1 rider a year has gone to the US, thats probably less than have gone to Europe. I'm sure theres plenty reasons to want to go to America in fact Luongo himself said that he wouldn't blame anyone that wanted to race for more money in America and not just SX. the fantastically prepped outdoor circuits have to be a pretty big draw for GP boys too, (particularly after tracks like CZ or Sweden). If I was a rider who was even half decent at SX I'd know where i'd be.
I don't agree with Geoff when he says some of his stuff but I'm sure most of its directly meant to wind guys like you up. I'm sorry if I come accross a little offensive but I think you have doublestandards that need to be challenged thats all. Its nothing to do with my views on SX or Nationals, I'm a big fan of both, its just about your negativity towards the GP series.
"That sounded to me like a level critisism you wouldn't even hear from Meyer let alone Luongo. "
True I was wrong in my comments back at you. You just said that Luongo never criticized to the level DC did about the GP.
"DC said that stuff in 2005 and I remembered it."
"The line about no one wanting to stay in Europe can only be seen as dramatically overstretching the truth,"
Who said that???!! stop making things up
Lets be honest, those who love GP MX are sick of the AMA guys saying the World championships suck and AMA guys are sick of us saying the same thing about the AMA series.
We have heard stories about how bad europe is, from too many people smoking here, to the series being the wrong way, riders are riding for nothing here, the riders are crap here, the best riders in the world are in America.
It is a huge unsult and then when I came here and throw a little back you guys don't like it.
Well welcome to the club. It's just like my football team is better than yours. Everyone loves that argument and this one is just fun. People take bench racing far too seriously on the net.
Geoff
I new I'd get you back
'True I was wrong in my comments back at you. You just said that Luongo never criticized to the level DC did about the GP'
didn't say that either but its more or less the truth.
That line about Aussies learning to be offensive is a beauty, I love it, hahahahaha. You are probably right, haha.
Geoff
Good one man, glad you cleared that up.
Geoff
Talkng abot buttcracks, are you gonna be spending some time in the oher hairy one in Monaco this Summer
Anyway, let's keep fighting, it's good for GuyB's traffic, it sells impression
Alex - mate you said that, go back up and you'll find this:
"That sounded to me like a level critisism you wouldn't even hear from Meyer let alone Luongo. And don't even start me on the sort of BS MXA come out with. there stuff is well below the belt."
Anyway we just disagree. Nothing serious. Your team is a loser and mine is the best, we have nicer colors than yours, nah!
And please, stop with using the big money teams have from a huge market to tell me riders are going to America to race the Nationals. It's called money that gets them there.
That idea of racing in the biggest series in the world doesn't cut anymore, otherwise names like Everts, Smets, Beirer, Bervoets, Coppins, Cairoli, Ramon, and many others would already have gone there. We lost like one % of riders to America a year.
Geoff
I was bored until you and J-Law came along this week.
Did Everts ever beat Albertyn in a world championship? From memory Albee beat him every year....once in the 125's and then in the 2 seasons following in the 250's....
