Why did custom painted helmets go out of style with the pros? Years ago every pro (and most top amatures) had custom jobs. They were super cool and unique. Now the pros use off shelf looking helmets with a few stickers on them. What gives?

Just noticed that Nick Wey is no longer on the MDK KtM team for 2009. Any one know where he is going or if he is still going to be racing?

On the heals of the JS seperation (due to sx only) Fox racing has teamed up with Jason Lawrence for 09 to continue the upstanding image of the sport. JL and Nick Wey will be on non factory Yamaha's riding for YOT.

We are going to Millville and RedBud this year. The new AMA race day schedule leaves a 2-1/2 hour break during race day between timed qualifying and the first moto. Whats up with that? Just heard that the amature WEEK for 8 laps of racing at Millville did not produce more riders. About 50% of prior years. Imagine that. First time in 12 years we did not race it.

Why does the premier class riders (the "best in the world") want a smooth track at the outdoor nationals? On amateur day the track is already 50% rougher than what the pros run. And now they want it smoother? Why?

It really sucks that they are not televised in the USA this year. Best camera work. Great anouncing. You see the roost, the ruts, the chug holes. It truly is the only outdoor motocross coverage that shows the true essence of the sport. Glad I burned the last 3 years to dvd. Smokes watching the outdoor nats on spode tv.
