Just noticed that Nick Wey is no longer on the MDK KtM team for 2009. Any one know where he is going or if he is still going to be racing?

Maybe in veiw of the worlds current financial situation he should of? but maybe he didnt have that option. Ktm's just don't agree with some people. He'd do better on a Honda most likely.

Don't see that happening, Factory Connection has a pretty big team at this point and the money is getting tight

It kills me when the "know nothings" start downing KTMs. I guess the two world MX championships this year means nothing. Put Bubba on one and watch him mop up and they would be the greatest things on two wheels in the "know nothings" eyes.

I love KTMs - I still have an '02 250SX in my garage in pieces - but watching Nick on that KTM was just painful. The wheels were in the air more than they were on the ground. Like Gary Bailey told me in 1972, there are three things you can't do when the wheels aren't on the ground - you can't accelerate, you can't decelerate, and you can't turn.

I feel the same way. I am picking my new 450SXF Monday and am actually upset that I have to leave for Vegas for the US Open, It means another week without riding it. At least I won't be home to see it sitting in the garage.

can anyone tell me why its 2008 and ktms dont have a linkage? I mean it obviously is an advantage right?

KTM lead more laps in both the MX1 and MX2 championships and won a bunch of GPs. The orange bikes are prettty good now.

Without a linkage, you can offset the shock to one side of the bike and make the route from the air box to the carb straighter and wider, and the engine will make more power. Plus, less stuff to do maintenance on.

It could happen I mean Weimer is on PC now and Grant on JGR so off the top of my head all they have is Canard, Wharton, Reardon, Windham. But then again I thought Windham's contract was up and he need a new ride for '09?

Barcia is getting paid up front money and now Eli Tomac is making top 5 pro money to ride Amateur races. But who know's how much money did FC start with?
