WhKnuckle Started a new thread Larocco's Leap

7/15/2014 12:35am
A couple of questions for the old Red Bud fans - (1) The takeoff for LaRoccos Leap looks just a tad lower than it used to, and the last jump looks higher, making it almost a monster step up; (2) The 250Fs aren't jumping it much but I think they were in practice - was the turn before the Leap...

I have to say, I thought this was going to be an epic year. I was wrong. Nobody is even trying to race with Villo. It's a shame. The most competitive, self confident, courageous athletes in the world are afraid of him. He's not really faster - in almost every moto, other riders turn in laps that are within an...

I kind of feel bad that so many people give Erin a hard time. For most sports, you can memorize stats, figure out who's a good interview and who isn't, come up with some canned questions, and do fine. Thats what Erin does. Motocross isn't like that. Motocross is a very subtle sport, a game of inches and brinksmanship that...

There are lots of great places, but Bar Harbor Maine is my favorite. It's a little crowded around that time, but there are several other small towns like Southwest Harbor that aren't crowded at all. And right in the middle of the island is a big National Park with more hiking and natural beauty than you can absorb. It's a...

And the important part of your excellent post is, "she actually knows the sport". Even if she was still wearing a training bra, she'd be the best pit reporter in the business because she knows what she's talking about, she's lived the sport through the good, the bad and the ugly, she has a terrific sense of humor and she...

WhKnuckle Added a reply to Who will have the edge in a mudder?

I don't know who has the upper hand, but I do think Villo is less dominating in a mud race. But it probably doesn't matter, it doesn't appear that it's going to be a mud race.

Yeah. I've always thought it was hilarious that Aldon Baker would advise Ricky Varmichael and James Stewart about how to approach the sport. I'm surprised neither of those guys told him to STFU and get the hell out of the hauler. RC and Stewart have forgotten more about motocross than Baker ever knew.

I don't think the kind of juice you're talking about is what motocross riders are interested in. But you are right, the side effects of that stuff are brutal.

You can order EPO on the Internet, no doctor prescription required. Give em a credit card number and it's on the way to your house. That's not to say it is safe to use at very high concentrations, but you don't NEED high concentrations to boost the bloods oxygen transport. And there are also perfectly legal supplements that don't contain...

Virtually none of McCarthys accusations were truthful. Form the George Washington University History Department: Alleged communist infiltration of government agencies became McCarthy's political calling card. By the 1952 election, he had called Sinologist Owen Lattimore America's "top Russian spy," labeled Secretary of State George C. Marshall "a traitor," nicknamed Secretary of State Dean Acheson the "Red Dean of Fashion," attacked...

Traffic is the only bad thing. There's one big Interstate and it is really bad sometimes. But if you live in an area where you don't have to commute too far, it's a great place to live. Moto-wise, Austin isn't as good as Houston or DFW, but there are some pretty good places to ride. Cycle Ranch is the best...

It sounds to me like that rider would do better to hire someone to sleep with him and make sure his heart is beating plenty fast enough. Most of those girls work cheaper than doctors. I'm just kidding of course.
