Because the results of 1 race does not reflect an entire series. To many variables to consider. Plus, I'd like BT to win lol.

I'd like to see Townley win some, too, but if he's going to do it, he'll have to pressure James speed-wise. If he can't challenge James, he'll win every moto. That's what happened in the 125 class every year from '02 - '04. When Stewart got to the 450 class, he was crashing because he refused to believe that he couldn't flat out beat RC on speed.

If Townley really hangs it out, he probably still can't beat James on speed, but he can force him into a mistake. But he has to push him to do it. If Townley could find the speed he had last year, he might get there, but James isn't scared of him if he's 3 seconds slower.

James did flat out beat RC a few times, RC was in incredible shape and had experience to back it up, that's it and that's all...Shit, RC couldn't even beat RV last time he raced...

I think if he brings his 2005 speed he had on the KTM, he'll be up there with james. They will be swaping wins then.

Nah, James never beat RC in MX "flat out". I also don't think RC ever beat James "flat out" in SX.

You need to back off the pipe on sundays.. Nobody will beat James, unless he throws it away.

A healthy Townley could pressure James on his favorite tracks. Langston reeled in James last year at the `Wick..

I'm not saying it can't happen, but I'll need to see Langston and/or Townley reel in a healthy James. Pressure - maybe. Reel in - ??

By contrast, I have no problem believing James can pressure and reel in Langston and Townley at will.

None of the current crop of riders has anything for a healthy James... He killed them then slowed up at the end of the motos.... Allessi rode awesome but really has NOTHING for James.... of course, unless James gets hurt. But make no mistake he blasted them all out of the water, he's in a different league as always..... if he stays healthy

Ger, they aren't racing anymore................

You also forgot that James pushed those guys without even being in close to the shape that he's in now, not even close. His problem was never skill, it was endurance (in the 450 class in MX). His bike was never where it should have been either, but that's another story.

Excuses...............James won both motos today, yet some of you want to talk about retired guys................Now that is a pretty silly excuse for not wanting to say "good job" to a guy.

Shouldn't you be feeding the hogs or something???

James can beat this field with his left hand tied behind his back.
