If you were involved and know the "US people" then list them right now, right here. I do know that I personally lost $2,153 in airline tickets, hotels, rental car and 7 tickets. That is my background on the subject. Lets hear yours!

You should have made the trip anyway. I did, & the World Cup race that they put on at GH was one of the best I've ever attended to this day. And they honored the MXdN tickets, so it was free. Feel free to be upset, but getting all pissy with GuyB or Sondra isn't gonna help anything. Then again, if you carry on, you could end up clicked, which might not be bad either. I haven't seen enough of your posts to decide whether I would care or not...//TJ

PS - Mike, stop making sense. You know that's not really allowed around here...//TJ

Hey, they can always re-open Carlsbad.... They just have to run the track around the industrial buildings and down Melrose Ave. a bit...Tongue

BTW I always thought Big Jim F. and the Saboba tribe killed the MXDN...

Perhaps the closest that people may get to agreement is that the event was ill-conceived in a lot of ways.

FIM is coming to America for a Grand Prix but they dont know where they are holding the race yet. Well Im just going to throw this out there and how about they hold it at Gatorback? But the elevator back and change it up some? Or where do you think they should have it?

Good answer.

I have a whole roll of the tickets from that MXoN. Now they make a good paperweight.

I sold a lot of those tickets...we were a new shop at the time, and man, did we feel like shit when we had to pay back. Lucky for us, we didn't have to pay forward.

Ya I was confused because I raced in the Winter Ams and its pack. If I remember right, one time there was over 70 kinds in the 125 C class. And it was insane.

Why would anyone even say they knew something if they didn't want people to know it ?

That Comp park deal was screwed from the beginning , from the illeagal contract with the Indians to the FIM and promotor going behind AMA's back to set it all up.

it was rightfully named the Comp park fiasco. We all got screwed on that deal and for once you can't blame the AMA

Ehhh, not for nothing, but I've never been a Motonews member. Too many arrogant arseholes there for my taste. I didn't threaten to zap the guy, either...just sayin'. This is the first post I've seen from this Noob & he's trying to call out "insiders" on an interweb board. Whatever. Some people get it, and some don't. Yeah, maybe Sondra shouldn't have said anything & maybe she invited criticism for mentioning it, I dunno. I could care less if she was involved in the C/P fiasco or not. I don't even know her. Throwin her and/or GuyB under the bus for that crap is dumb, though. The thing was focked 6 ways to Sunday, but I still went & still had an excellent time. I guess that was my real/main point...//TJ

YS is going to announce a different venue for the 2009 GP each month to keep the Octopus distracted and dizzy.

"It's in Atlanta."
"No it isn't! Atlanta is MINE!"
"It's at Barber."
"No it isn't! Barber is MINE!"
"It's at Gatorback."
"No it isn't! Gatorback is MINE!"

etc etc

That will keep him busy.

BTW-If you only knew how hard he tried to screw up the Comp Park MXoN (OMG)....But it tanked on its own.....

I'd guess they have a very good idea where they race will be held, but they're holding their cards close.

I bet they are going with the same promoter and location as the 2002 US motocross des nations. They did the same thing that time by not anouncing the location until thousands of people got screwed out of thousands of dollars in advance ticket sales.

Sorry FIM. You fucked the US once. Won't happen again. Boycott the bastards unless they grant free admision to the event.
Dorna was in charge of the MXON in 2002, and yes, that was a bit of a mess wasn't it.
