Enough with the "straight up" talk, if both riders lined up at the gate, it was straight up. A win is a win either way, there is no * saying well yes "A" rider won because "B" rider fell. Scoreboard is all that matters.

Still wondering what Reed has sounded off about. The only sounding off going around is your jaw on the floor because it won't stay closed. You make more excuses for Reed's behalf in one sentence then he ever has. Sheesh some people.

Yeah, RC, a Kawi lifer managed to switch brands twice with much success.

JS will be just fine.

Should be a good season if most everyone comes in healthy.

Wouldn't count Alessi, Hill, RV, Millsaps, Townley and even Windham out for some possible wins/podiums. Should be the best season in sometime.

Being that ive raced Yamahas for the 2 previous years and knowing how the bikes handle myself I can really see why Chads feeling very confident after I've moved to new machinery myself, and knowing how james likes to run stiff forks which cause the bike to push in the turns and those yamahas dont like a stiff fork setup they'll just lose the front end without a hint just dumps you, unless your firmly into a rut.

Its going to be interesting to see how yamaha responds to james needs, and how theyre able to address the inherent handling issues.I dont think this team change is going to go as smoothly as some of you all think. I dont think that yamahas going to agree with james style of riding and bike setup without some major changes to the bike for 09. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what yamaha Race development can do to make James comfortable.

In my own opinion:

James is going to destroy that yammie for awhile until they figure out how to make it handle his style.

Reed is going to struggle a bit with the new bike and team, and be a bit pissy, but the team and bike can handle whatever Reed puts out.

RV is gonna hang it out so far, he's gonna spend alot of time testing soil and his ego before he gets things worked out. Once that happens, it's all Stewart and RV.

In my own opinion.

Well, with ALL your experience on Yamahas I'd say it's OBVIOUS that you'd know what the bike will handle like with factory suspension.

Larry Brooks, is at Glen Helen, racing L&M Yamahas at REM every week end. James Stewart, will be on Yamahas. He will adapt with out fail. He will again be the man to beat.

Ryan Villopoto, will spend endless hours testing in preparation for the new season, as will all others.

The racing is not on this board...Just maybe some new kid will show up and kick everyone's ass...huh ?

You can write it till your fingers are numb and the clowns around here will question it. I know what bike they will be on and you know what bike they will be on but 99% of the people that post here will argue with you over it.

There are 4 maybe 5 people who post here that know whats going on, but the others want to be insiders so bad they will argue everything you post, regardless if its true or not.

There is a ton of stuff a guy could post here about who is talking to who, but all it would cause is controversy. I have taken the attitude of saying nothing.

Been in the industry for 18 years. Have helped amature rider all of those years. Have helped promote races.Working on putting together an amature team for next year. Can I post a pic on here....nope. Can I tear down an "ENGINE" (motor around these parts) a put it back together yes. I don't clam to have all the answers like most on here ,but it's fun to mess with folk!

Me...I was born into the industry. Sponsored, and still sponsor Amateurs, as well as Professionals. Won a World championship doing so.

Have , and still do, Promote racing. Have an Amateur team, and forming a Pro team.

Can I tear down, and rebuild an engine...No...That is what the hired Mechanic is for.

I don't claim to have all the answers, but the answers I give are true.

Do you have a Yamaha? Mine have done the same thing from day 1. I only notice it at night (obviously) and when I first start it up. I don't notice it after it has been running for a while. I never noticed the Honda or Kawi do it, only my Yamaha's.

I notice it when I first start it up, but not after it runs for a while at higher RPMs?

Could be a third guess.
