FYI camping there is terrible. Idiots are up until sunrise partying and making as much noise as they can there's zero respect for others. Might not be bad in a camper but in a tent with earplugs, I probably got 2hrs of sleep at most.

The other day I saw a clip from Hangtown 2004, they mentioned 23k or 24k fans in attendance that day. I'd be surprised if Hangtown had even close to half of that this year. Pala looked like almost no one was there. Thunder Valley looked really light. I won't be surprised if the only well attended races are RedBud and Budds Creek. The Nationals aren't what they once were.

If he left on the helicopter, he wasn't dead. Helicopter isn't landing at the medical examiner's office.

I saw the accident and was 20ft away when it happened. He did an endo over the jump and there wasn’t any contact by any other rider. When he went over the bars the bike cartwheeled and sheered the rear fender off exposing the rear subframe of the motorcycle, then it landed subframe down striking him in the face/head. It was a horrific accident and my prayers go out to the family. Cahuilla is one of the best facilities in So Cal. Both tracks are well maintained. The dirt is loamy so natural holes will develop on jumps and throughout...

After 15 years or so of officiating motocross events, I 1: would never start an event without at least 1 team of EMTs on a Mule. 2: Some events are just so bad that intervention won't help. GODSPEED to the rider, and his family and friends.

I definitely noticed an increase in major moto accidents after the influx of new riders during covid. Around here those incidents have slowed a bit as guys have either left the sport or gained more experience. When I think vet track I typically think less experienced riders on the track. Not always the case, but also pretty common.

Hello, Interested in your opinions and thoughts off suspension on the new -23 KTM frame. I did not like it otd, but installed 6500 kit and revalved fork and shock after my weight and ability and i really like it now Smile With a lot back and forth with a big local suspension tuner, they had come up with that the new frame needs static sag to be around 40-42 with a ride sag around 107-110 and a 5mm or 2 lines on the forks in the clamp. Tried that compared to the recommended 38/105 and really makes a difference...

If you are financing with the goal of improving a credit score (you HAVE TO pay it off early and avoid as much interest as you can) there's no reason not to. It's what my kid will do with his next bike purchase. If you are financing because that's the only way you can afford it, don't, in this market. You'll pay way more in the end, and then take a big loss at sale. Used bike sales are crap right now in my area - the market is flooded with COVID era buys, many at stupid prices. I've got...

Word is he cased a 75 ft jump and the bike hit him. You take the bottom of the frame rails, or a foot peg, to the wrong spot and it doesn't take much to end things. Word also is Axell performed CPR for at least 10 to 15 minutes before the paramedic showed up. Those two are close and I can't imagine how terrible that must have been. 😥 That's some secondhand information from someone who was there and who knows what the actual details are. Either way it sucks and I have no interest in seeing a video...

You're right it sticks with you. I was there in Miami and watched that guy bounce off the net, I was like 6 years old at the time and I still think about it almost 30 years later. Seeing traumatic incidents and/or death in person or video can be really gnarly for a lot of people. I hope there is no video released unless for whatever reason that is what Pat's family desires. RIP Pat Casey, he was awesome to watch on a bike, really sad to loose such a talented guy.

The Tublito, Schwalbe and other light weight bicycle tubes are made from thermoplastic polyurethane rather than butyl rubber. These are relatively new but seem to hold up and can be easily repaired. As far as their goodness (and availability) in the MX sizes and applications it remains to be seen. Various other companies make bicycle latex tubes which are leaky and finicky and used for their light weight and low rolling resistance and probably not suitable for motorcycles.

I tried fat bike tubes on my yz250f once and was blown away what a difference it made. If Stark‘s new tubes are durable they are big news!

I like all the downvotes. Stark tube is 156 grams Rubber tube is 1,454 grams. 1454÷156 = rubber tube is 932% heavier than stark tube. Must be a bunch of pissed off titanium salesman on here lmaoooo
