Is it really that big of a deal? Dont they make cylinders for BMW ,kawasaki ,artic cat and probably some others? If they make a good cylinder it shouldn't be an issue.

+30 class is a sportsman class but the dudes are fast as hell. Ride the roughest rutted tracks you can find. You are in my area and the areas and regional tracks end up destroyed(and obviously LL does too). I’d make sure you can ride almost max ability for 20 mins. Train at 20 min moto sprints. Area is 5 laps, but regional is 15 mins motos three times. Whatever you are thinking the track to be like just expect it to be ten fold worse at each race.

Reliability wise, absolutely terrible, specially electronics. With the Ohlins suspension stock on it though, handled pretty well for that big of a bike during that time. Had really explosive power. Only bike I ever jumped over the gate (before it drop) on. I had a dealer bike, once I started having issues with it just shutting off, Cannondale asked for it back, shortly after they went under. The prototypes are in the museum at Barber Motorsports. They have wires going everywhere.

I'm the fastest I've ever been and I'm in my early 50s, still in great physical shape. I didn't have the luxury of being able to ride MX in my youth and early years, only rode trails and single track in my teens. Didn't start riding MX tracks until I was 40. I've gotten progressively better since. I'll never be anything beyond C class, and I don't care. It's just a ton fun in my mind. You don't stop riding when you get old. Same problem here. The Akrapovic full system has a guard on it but it is $1300 retail for the stainless header version. P3 has this one but it covers the whole front of the header. https://p3carbon.com/products/p3-heat-shield-ktm-250-xc-f-2019-2022-250… fmf sells something for their header but it says generic fit so I don’t know how well it will fit the megabomb header since they changed the shape for the 2023.
