One of the moto memories that has most deeply become ingrained in my dad's mind is of Barnett destroying everyone at Washougal, lapping into the top 10, and hardly looking like he was tired when he stepped off the bike. Then he handed the bike to the mechanic and let him ride back to the pits while the Bomber walked.

Also for Barnett, he was on his way to a perfect season until he broke his collar bone and missed the last round in Carlsbad National where i think RJ took his first win.

Bubba didnt win 5 SX titles and 10 outdoor championships and win 150 races. Reality tells a much different story.

I didn't forget, I just never got to witness it. I've only been involved in the sport and racing for 35 years now. The Bomber was a bit before my time, but I love racing on the track at Lincoln Trail named after him.

The year Barnett had in 1981 was one for the ages. 125 National champion to back up his 1980 championship. He prevailed over every top 125 rider in the world by nearly a full minute at the 125 USGP in Lexington, Ohio. Finishing the year by becoming 250SX champion having bested the likes of Hannah, Bell, Howerton, Glover, J. Gibson, D. Hanson. Quite a year.

4/5/2026 6:07pm Dylan won a 450 outdoor title, and the talent and speed were there to do the same in sx on a 450. Injuries and questionable career and team choices hampered his progress.

whats more "fucking pathetic"? someone on the internet who in your opinion is making up some bullshit, or, the reality that your boy was caught red handed sabotaging a race course to cause direct damage to his competitors race vehicles that could potentially hurt or kill someone??? Fricken pull your head out of the sand mate! geez, it happened, not fiction, your boy is wacked and should be banned from all motorsports and most likely will.

Where do you see people saying it’s because he’s a Brit? Personally, I just find him hard to listen to and too cringey most of the time. He’s certainly put out some really good stuff that I’ve enjoyed, but he is just not my cup of tea. I’m obviously in the minority, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Claiming people don’t Lewis like just because he’s British is low hanging fruit.
