The Moth Added a reply to Yogi leaving AMA?

Good for Ezra. I’m sure he gave it his all, but was up against the impossible. Seemed like he wanted what was best for the sport.

That’s absurd. The class this season will be far more stacked so expectations of an undefeated season for any of the riders is unreasonable.

Where do you see people saying it’s because he’s a Brit? Personally, I just find him hard to listen to and too cringey most of the time. He’s certainly put out some really good stuff that I’ve enjoyed, but he is just not my cup of tea. I’m obviously in the minority, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Claiming people don’t Lewis like just because he’s British is low hanging fruit.

Reed is talking about running over track markers, which is essentially what Deegan did. It happens all the time outdoors.

In the USA, you're innocent until proven guilty. Ando has not been proven guilty. The court of public opinion has tried and convicted him. Shame on them. He was arrested. Anyone can get arrested. Cop has a bad day, he/she will arrest you for spite. The States Attorney/DA did not move forward with charges. Case closed. The Incident Charges: Anderson was arrested on a charge of Battery (Domestic Violence). Details: According to police reports, deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic disturbance. The report alleged that an argument with his wife escalated, during which Anderson was accused of...

He posted a statement saying that he’s taking responsibility for his actions. He did not say those actions were physically assaulting his wife. Perhaps, infidelity is the issue and that’s what Jason is talking about. Charges were dropped so it could be that the state felt there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute. Had there been marks on his wife...

“ Presumably his 'actions' are the ones documented in the incident report. Therefore, yes, El Homebray did attack his wife” You’d make a terrible detective !

His wife has zero control over whether or not charges are filed or dropped. That’s up to the state. Unfortunately, Jason will be prosecuted in the court of public opinion without all the facts presented. I don’t think anyone is defending his actions of what happened. They are seeing a guy who is struggling and want to see him get...

Because grabbing someone isn’t the same as repeatedly punching them in the face. Both are domestic violence, but both will have different charges and punishments. Not going to justify DV, Anderson will have be held accountable for his actions, but leave it to Vitalmx to kick a guy when he’s down. Half you love sitting there on your keyboards and...
There’s no need for mental gymnastics in this case. There are all kinds of examples in sports where the letter of the law is not followed by what’s in the rule book, but is interpreted by the officials. Traveling in basketball is one example. Referees often allowed a player a gather step and didn’t impose a penalty on the player...

Take it to court for what? As mentioned, the rule book does state that AMA officials do have discretion with whether or not there were blatant violations of the rules. This in essence gives them wiggle room with whether or not penalties will be handed out. You can’t rely on the history of precedent either since many of the updated...
