Thank you. Yes, I was a bit sticker shocked. I'm not saying I'll never go again, I'm just saying that if I do, I will be better prepared thanks in part to some of the suggestions in this thread. But I'm also content to watch the races from home since that's not a bad gig either. One thing is for...

Yes, if you haven’t been “To The Big City” for a sporting event in a while, it can be a culture shock of sorts. Believe it or not, your $45 Cocktails & Popcorn bill isn’t the worst I’ve seen or heard; but, that doesn’t change the fact that people experience a real “WTF?!” when they go to one of these events and get that concessions bill for the 1st time. I’ve seen $18-20 beers, $40 cocktails and insane prices for mediocre burgers & pizzas in stadiums this year. This year’s stadiums, so far, have been Anaheim/Angel’s Stadium, San Diego/Snap Dragon...

This is why I love the Nationals. Walk to different areas around the track, bring your own food and beverages, and not be crammed like sardines in a seat made for a toddler. That being said we did get tickets to MetLife next month because the kid has been to nationals but never SX. We’ll starve till we leave the stadium before I pay $20 for a hot dog.

Went to a restaraunt by Lumen Field, Jimmy's, and had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was rather delicious. Which moves me to my next point. I'm really glad I ate before I went into the stadium because prices for food and drink seemed liked legalized thievery to me. I did buy two of the lemon flavored alcohol beverages...

There is nothing like SX live so I say live your life to enjoy it, you can’t take the money with you in the end. Shit McDonalds is pretty much a 20 dollar event these days for a couple egg mc muffins and a coke!

I spent $200 for tickets to Indy, $40 to park and a ton on food/drink. I got there at noon, watched practice and qualifying all day and then the night show was excellent. I can’t think of any type of live entertainment that would give me that bang for my buck these days. It sucks, but it’s still worth the money to me.

I did love the fireworks, music and opening ceremonies but it was loud! I thought they would stop the music before the riders launched off the gate, but it kept going. It seems like that would be a distraction to the riders.

Shit is just crazy expensive these days. Local am/pm was charging $2.50 for a regular sized candy bar the other day. WTF!!! Local fast food store had a starting wage of $21 an hour to make pizza. Then they expect a 20% tip on top of it. Shit is getting out of hand.

It is expensive at the stadium, we didn’t end up buying anything lol. I enjoyed the evening, great racing and track. I found I could barely hear the bikes over the music and announcing, though.

Thank you. This is my point. Between fight traffic there and back, paying too much for parking and a couple of drinks, I'm content to stay home. As much as I like seeing these riders up close because nothing really compares to that, I guess I must just be getting old. Not trying to take away from anyone who doesn't...

He's won a 250 regional title, finished top 10 in the 450 class, finishing 5th overall in 2022 Nationals, which is really good when you look at the competition he beat (Dungey, Plessinger, and Barcia), and is currently in the top 10 in Supercross. If a rider is able to win a title, finish top 10 and make a good...

This is a case where you're losing sight of the forrest for the trees. RolfCopter726's point is that much like AC, Dylan, with the exception of the 2021 450 National Title, is putting himself out of title contention either by crashing or getting injured. Here is your proof: Dylan was not a title threat in the 2022 sx series, and...

Which riders who were not pro, went to the U.S. and made 250 mains in sx? I'm not into the who is better contests. Herlings has at times been unbeatable. For example, at the 2012 MXoN he lapped our 250 Champion and was close to lapping Dungey. But to be honest, I see more people from across the pond going...

"I picture you as the bald guy with a ring of grey hair and a ponytail you just can't let go of. Probably wearing those creepy glasses that tint in the sun, tye dye shirt, cut off jean shorts, Birkenstocks and yellow toenails" This made me laugh, but I would suggest posting while sober. It's not that others mind a...
