I did the VIP thing at Daytona last year and I got to watch the work she puts in for the broadcast. Will is a competent professional woman who knows what she is doing. A lot of this Vital criticism of her is misplaced, in my opinion. I'd be proud if my daughter ends up like Will.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't think Jett Lawrence is a bad choice. He's one of the few next level talents; he did incredible on his 450 debut at the MXoN, and has a lot of confidence in himself. Tomac would my pick since I think he's at his peak in performance, but that doesn't mean Jett...

The Moth Added a reply to World 2-stroke Championship crash update?

I missed the part where the op said the "start"! My bad on that one. There was also a nasty crash towards the end of the race, and because I only glanced at the post, I thought that's what they were talking about. Sorry.

They were all top level athletes in their prime. I'm not convinced anyone could beat James on a 125 in his prime, or that anyone on planet earth would have RV covered in his prime. Dungey managed to hold Tomac off for titles until he retired, but Tomac has been hitting his prime the last couple of seasons. IN short...

The Moth Added a reply to Glen Helen- 2 strokes

That was great racing! I won't give any spoilers in case anyone hasn't watched, but seeing and hearing those 2-strokes fly around the track was awesome. Glad I tuned in.

The Moth Added a reply to Who is this Cooksey tool

I had seen the Cooksey video floating around, and didn't watch it until I read your post. To be honest, your take is pretty convoluted. A lot of people seem to not like the guy, but that doesn't mean you have to be dishonest. When Cooksey was talking about how bad he was in the whoops, it was a build...
Respectfully, that is not my argument. I have already agreed that RC is the GOAT based on his career stats. My reasoning is not that if Barnett beat RC in 1981, that Mark would be the the GOAT. I argued against the idea that RC would beat any rider in any era for a title. I'm not exactly sure why...
I do think it's a good argument and I will tell you why. It's because the variables cannot be accounted for and I'll give you an example: In 1981 when Mark Barnett dominated the 125cc class, there were 8 Nationals. Mark won every race he entered, but did not win the final race since he did not race due to...
"RC would have dominated no matter the era or the competition. The one thing he had in spades was indomitable will power. He always found a way to beat whoever was in front of him." It's possible, but only speculative. I think that the stats alone earn him the title, GOAT, but I still am not settled that he could...
I have a bit if a different take on the GOAT. While RC has the stats and I do think he is the GOAT, I also think it's a bit unfair to past eras. Every era produces riders of unique significance who were supreme under the conditions and competition they were given. So many legends from the 70s, 80s, and...

So many good vids on Gary's channel. Thanks for sharing. Someone recently posted that they were bored because it was an off week. I suggest browsing Gary's channel and/or watching older races. I watched this one today, and even though I knew who won, it is still an awesome throwback race and I still enjoy watching it today.
