Yoi're assuming said sponsors would want anything to do with what really is a niche sport with a fan base largely composed of blue collar types. They want to parade contacts around Monaco, not meet AP and Dangerboy in a muddy field aomewhere. Now, DeWalt, Milwaukee, various truck brands, fast food joints, RC car brands, that sort of thing, now we're talking.

Disagree, why waste the dealers or your time if you aren’t in the same ballpark? I get your point about the $1 difference, but in that situation I would go with the first dealer to give me a fair, upfront price, instead of a dealer that plays games and then try’s to get a sale by saving a $1. Thankfully we have a dealer in WI that gives his price up front with no add ons and gets my sale anytime I’m buying a Yamaha product even though I have closer dealers that might match the price if I waste...

He'll be with Honda next year. Which is good, I think a move back to PC would be a step backwards, more time wasted getting used to a bike just when he's starting to look really good on the Honda.

Yes there is an MSRP. And the dealers tack on ridiculous fees like $600 assembly fee that they use to pay some HS kid minimum wage to spend 20 mins putting the front wheel on. Oh and the $250 document fee for 5 mins of paperwork.

Personally I bought an fmf slip on knowing full well it wasn’t going to change the power characteristics on the bike. I just wanted an FC350 factory edition and they didn’t make one. They did however make a heritage edition with a white frame so I could build my own. I wasn’t going to do the can but found one for a good price on eBay, and figured why not? Some people buy stupid shit for their cars or truck, some people buy jewelry to bedazzle themselves, we buy dumb shit for our bikes.

sounds better, looks better.....90% of riders probably wont notice the performance difference. Last mod you should do for performance on modern bikes, but if you got the money they do sound nice.

Took this after washing the bike and thought of this thread..... would never argue that I'm capable of using any of the power or feeling any difference in weight but damn it looks good.....
