Deegan Penalty?

I saw him outside of the track markers at least 4 separate times today.  And twice last week.

He was a habitual line-stepper in amateurs as well. 

Ain't going to happen with him. Wasnt it hangtown last year Andrew Short was working for the ama and said he gained no advantage? I think it gave him a win or podium position.  

I think you are going a bit far on the superlatives. Habitual? No.

I suppose you're anti Deagan, obviously. Jett and several others had some off track excursions.

You'll never convince me that a big part of the reason he's never penalized is because they know there's zero chance Deegan inc would handle it like grown ups and they just don't want the headache. It also becomes harder to penalize him for it with every time you let him get away with it.

I kinda blame the track layout and builders too. The track cutting is getting ridiculous either way.

Jett should’ve been penalized also for accelerating off the track but figure they were scared to penalize him 2 weeks in a row 

Two off track excursions today assisted him to pass and stay in front of Hammaker with zero loss of time; how is that not gaining an advantage?

Yeah man. I fell asleep for 20 or so minutes of that moto. After the race I was on the phone talking about the race and this was brought up. I didn't see it until I went back to watch the replay.  

He's done it since he was on Pee Wee's 

He's gone fully off track like 3 times today, and stretched the track limits it seems like 10 times. 0 penalty, my dad kept saying he wouldnt get one because he might not me gaining time, but I'd think the Ama would penalize him for just how much he stretched the track limits. Also, at one point I thought he was going to hit a sponge bob going up one of the hills and in that moment I thought about jesse nelsons crash.(yeah I wasn't into the sport when his crash happened but I watched a video about it last year ish).

He’s their YouTube star. They think the sport is going to erupt because of that sort of coverage like F1 did after drive to survive. They can’t upset him

I think a privateer got fined $500 some years ago for cutting there or another track.  And he was a mid pack racer

If you go off track it’s because you made a mistake. By not loosing any time in doing so, you have gained an advantage. 

Getting smoked by 30+ seconds twice is enough of a penalty.

Lars mentioned that the AMA said that they couldn’t see an advantage gained in instances of people going outside of the track markers.  

Anyone who has raced knows it’s smoother off the track AND the point of staying on the track is fairness.  If you go off the track it’s unfair to your competitors whether or not you gained a time advantage.  IMO you should not be able to continue on an equal playing field to someone who can stay on the track.

He did if he accelerated or gained advantage while off track.

The rule should require a full stop and then, if you cause an incident on reentry, a severe penalty or even DQ.

So at the Unadilla regional there were markers about 50 yards before the corner that’s in the photo. That is a high speed start and guys get pushed wide. They announced if you were not between those markers on the first lap you would be penalized. Guess that wasn’t the case yesterday?

This is nothing new with Deegan. No one skirts the track markers more than this guy. He does it in qualifying and does it in the races. He’s been doing it for years. Even when he goes completely off track, they don’t penalize him. They penalized Vialle last year at Pala but not Deegan. He gets away with it every time. 

Love all the crying by the Deegan haters. 🤣 😂 🤣
