This rule could be really good for the general public . The big gear brands that do not have an airbag system will not be too excited to have guys they are paying big bucks wearing Alpinestars or Shot airbags and they are more likely to bring out their own and might get them to do it sooner than they may have. . If this change keeps even one Pro Rider from having a career ending injury, its a win. Understand the opinions here, but it's not like these guys are cruising around a practice track or racing a few weekends a year. Or even like 25y ago, racing 38hp factory 125s. These things are all 50hp+ (up to close to 70hp) rockets that do 100km/h in seconds. It's become appropriate for the sport to equip riders to keep them safer.

He did that because he thought Kenny would get between him and Sexton this way, his main rival in the SMX playoffs. Later realising him getting 1st or 2nd that race didn't make a difference in overall points because motos are olympic scoring in SMX. In other words: He only did it for himself but he didn't use his brain.

I agree with everything you just wrote. But as I said in another thread, now that Hunter has a premier class championship, no more Mulligans. He's going to have to close them out on his own.

I agree with everything you’re saying but it’s more than just an eyebrow raiser, I think it’s pretty obvious given what we all saw. I’ve not lost an ounce of respect for them and I picked Hunter to win the championship anyways, so it worked out. Within the first ten minutes I think it became clear what was taking place. If Deegan wouldn’t have taken Hunter out we probably wouldn’t even be discussing this today but he did and I think it changed things.
