Good for Eli and family 👍🏻
Congratulations Champ.
This is an awesome announcement. As a HUGE ET3 fan, it is time. He has done nothing but great things. Congrats Eli...you've earned a well deserved rest.
He will be sorely missed but he went out on his own terms. He's absolutely one of the baddest dudes to ever swing a leg over a bike. Enjoy the family time, Eli!

Legend!!
I am not crying you’re crying
Congratulations Eli - Thank you for the countless years of us mortals saying "HOLY SHIT" everytime you got on a bike.
I will remember him as one of the classiest champions our sport has ever seen. Won't be the same without him.
In his last race at Ironman, he scrapped together his 92nd career top 5 overall in the 450 class tying him for the most all time in the class with Mike LaRocco. It was his 125th top five regardless of class, most all time.
No way. Gonna miss you Champ!
Thanks for everything you brought to the sport.
Enjoy retirement legend!
#BeastMode👌🏾🔥 job well done Eli , just like ur pops , u made a impact every time u stepped on the track 🫡 main thing is he still has his body & mind in tact , legendary career champ
Good for him and what an amazing career. Just wished he had announced it before Ironman. I feel there should have been something special for his last national, like a parade lap or something. And I’m sure everybody would have cheered him extra hard all around the track.
Did we ever learn if he got injured or something mi-season during supercross last year? Or is the official narrative still simply that he suddently stopped feeling it?
A class act, sure going to miss the Beast Mode. He’s just behind RC on my list of greats.
Congratulations Eli!!
Congratulations Eli, enjoy retirement Champ
End of a special era. There haven’t been too many guys that let their riding do their talking the way Eli did. I hope he sticks around the sport. It’ll be all time if we get a different side of him post career. Thank you ET3, you’re a legend!
Don't you think that would have overshadowed Hunter's first 450 title a little bit?
I would argue he is our sport's true ironman. Congratulations on one of the most storied careers of all time. Blessed to have been able to watch the #3 from childhood through adulthood.
Also part of the winning MXDN team in 2022 - along with representing his country 6 times.
Remember Hangtown 2010 when he first showed up (and won)... Crazy how time goes.
Congrats to Eli on a phenomenal career.
Pit Row
Congrats on a monumental career and now turning the page on this chapter of life! One of the gnarliest and most humble to ever do it. Blessed to witness all of it.
Cheers to you and your family!!
Sad day for the sport to lose one of its best
It has been an absolute pleasure watching this man try and rip a throttle cable out of its housing for all these years. Congratulations on a great career, Eli, you're one of the best to ever do it.

Hate how fast time flies. Still remember Hangtown 2010 with him coming out and winning right away. He and Roczen set a new standard for longevity and racing at an elite level for so long. One the best to ever do it. Happy retirement beast.
Legend! No other word less than this can do justice. At least for me. Glad I had the chance to witness him at the track during des Nations in 2014 here in Latvia, railing those outside berms and stepping into the Beast mode. Congratulations Eli, amazing career!
Well earned.
Now let's hope that the 2 person race against Herlings can happen 🤘
Glad we got to see him come out of his shell a little bit more in the latter years, really get to know him bettter and then watch him absolutely hammer that Yamaha to a couple more titles. That bike seemed like an extension of him, like they were connected.
Going to miss the head tilt and watching him work. Great career and alot of legendary moments.
Tomac has been my favorite rider for more than a decade. This is a truly bittersweet announcement. While I’d love to watch him race another season, I’m happy to see him leave the sport on his own terms.
One of the very best to ever ride a Motocross bike... From the Tomac and Barcia battles in 250 to the epic Beast Mode rides many of us got to see and 3 seconds a lap faster than the MXGP guys at Glen Helen. Still a stellar 1-1-1-1-1-3 moto record in MXGP. All of the US MX and SX titles and the above the fray attitude and quiet personality earned a commanding respect in the moto world.
Racing is always better with Tomac on the line.
I'm getting old. The young guns of yester year are retiring. Enjoy the retirement ET3
Thanks for the memories ET3! It’s fitting that Daytona this past year will in all likelihood be his last win.
Congrats - well deserved CHAMP
