I tend to speed shift at WFO with a quick flick at the clutch. On a really rough straight I just click it up and the bouncing wheel unloads the trans enough that is clicks into the next gear.

On typical dirt gearing 1 tooth at the front is equal to 3.5 teeth on the rear.......and that is a huge difference. 2 teeth on the rear is a big difference.

Its a shame about Coisy...he is a very talented rider. interesting they are worried about contractual obligations.......I think they need to review our contract!

ATK has had them for a couple years and even tried racing Supermoto with the 700.

Does sound like a possible air leak. Start the bike and let it idle....then squirt some WD40...little bit by little bit..... from the carb to cylinder......and around the base of the cylinder. If it revs up like you twisted the throttle and drops back down...... your air leak is where you just squirted.

Typically no parts are needed....just a good carb clean. Then bench test before installation.

I dump a qt of kerosene in and start the motor and run it for a couple minutes then let it sit and drain over night.
