MX Track around Gaffney, SC in 70's

Between 1970 & 1973 my uncle would take me to a MX track somewhere around the Gaffney, SC area. He claims we saw Tony D. and a few of the other MX stars of the day. Gary Bailey came to one of the races and did a riding show on a Bultaco. I vaguely remember watching some of the races and hanging out in the pits. Anybody remember a track in or around the northern part of SC during that time frame?

I used to live in Gastonia around '72-"73. Is Gaffney around Rock Hill? Rock Hill Motocross was right on the NC/SC line.

I'm sure it was somewhere closer to the I-85 corridor. Maybe even Boiling Springs, NC. Sorry to be vague but it's hard to jog old memories.
