Carb question

What you need to look at is the needle & seat inside the carb. Remove the float bowl and then remove the pin that holds the floats to the body the needle & seat is right above it.

There's no adjustment, it either works or it doesn't.

look to see if it's rubber tipped, if it is... they almost never go bad and probably just have some corrosion or dirt in there.

thats a common problem with bikes sitting round....its your inner hate for 2 strokes..you let it die!

There is an adjustment on the float level but not on the needle and seat. It can leak if the rubber tip is woren or grooved or it can leak it it is misaligned.

Typically no parts are needed....just a good carb clean. Then bench test before installation.

I have seen where the aluminum of the needle corroded and also the brass of the seat.. they won't move freely in and out causing it to not seat properly. You can lightly sand both pieces to ensure proper movement.

You have to play with it to make sure it moves freely.

On some KTM models there is an o-ring under brass seat. Does it have a screw holding the seat in carb? Might look at that. I've used a hardware store o-ring to fix those problems.

In my experience needles are very often replaced. It's cheap, get a new needle, It's most likely your problem. To make sure do what they said above, look at it for the tiniest wear marks, grooves, a line where it seats, etc.

JUst by a new needle and seat. I have seen many go bad. This shit we call gas nowadays eats the rubber seal up.
