this weeks off race week also gives him some time to heal up and not get further behind in points. Hmmm...could be interesting.

i hope he comes back safe and ready...he can do it.

i think he also needs to think about his sx skills, he can ride sx...i know he can ride sx. come back safe and strong and minus james and reed mike can and is a sx rider because if this mx season is shot at least think about the next sx season. he can ride that shit i am telling ya!

anyways you can ride with injuries...you just can't crash very well with them so keep it on two mikey. and fugg jet sking, ski nautiquing and tv appearances dammit.Smile

That may be his plan - he may be coming back in the hope that something will happen to Reed and all he has to do is beat Short and Grant, who are (I think) still behind him in points. It's a heck of a good strategy, and he's one tough cat if he pulls it off. It'll be the stuff of legend if it works (or maybe even if it doesn't).

I worry that someone like Josh Grant will find it a great opportunity to take a shot at Alessi's hurt knee. I think he should wait for it to heal completely and get his confidence up for SX. If he gets his confidence up he will be battling with R.V for wins.

Who cares. He should be out there. Wouldn't see Chad sitting out or opting for surgery would you.

if reed is in a commanding lead i wonder if management would say "sit down mikey" and let reed win it? i sure hope not but mike was ready last year and management said nope.

Alessi already had a surgery on his knee. I think it would be best for him to sit out a bit and let it heal.

I personally think Alessi would have a tough time beating Reed anyway - he's behind him in points and Alessi surely won't have quite as much speed as he did before. Suzuki probably wouldn't have to interfere anyway.

Hope he isn't pushing it, but the Kid has my support as a rider, not that that means shit either.

What leads you to think that Grant is going to take a shot a Mikes knee?

Seriously? You're criticizing a guy for sitting out with a broken knee cap?

Reed isn't the only tough guy out there, I'm willing to bet 9 out of the 10 guys out there are willing to ride through any amount of pain they have to if it gives them a chance at a championship.

You mean like the last two outdoor series' that Reed rode?

Sometimes guys get hurt and can't ride. That's not a character flaw.

So... Chad had operations on his shoulder, and still rode...

The two have not gotten along dating back to the A.M days.

The shoulder is a bit harder to catch in a rut or get smashed between another bike like a knee.

Yeah, but that don't equal Grant trying to hurt a guy...

Anyhoo, yeah... would be interesting if 800 gets back in it. Doesn't seem worth it, as I doubt he could take the series back, but, wtf do i know?

i think mike has a little speed on reed but there are others that think the opposite.

reed is champion and is tough and has more experience so it evens out a bit.
