race changing GEARS

hay hows it going i have a big question, i have jst brought a Yz 125 and have jst prevously entered a race. A mate of mine come up to me after it and asked do i race change?? i replied sometimes only when the ARMPUMP aint a factor ( grabbing the clutch).
but than he explaned to me that u can race change up through the gears on full throttle without needing to pull in the clutch or back off???
so my question is, is it OKAY to do this and will it end up damaging ur gear box or clutch plates?

I tend to speed shift at WFO with a quick flick at the clutch. On a really rough straight I just click it up and the bouncing wheel unloads the trans enough that is clicks into the next gear.

YZ125's were not known to have the strongest gearboxes. Be nice to it.
