I really dislike Steve matthes. He has some pretty bad takes as well. I don’t mind the gypsytales dude. He was kind of weird to me at first but I’ve grown to like him fine. It helps that the guys he gets on there seem to like him as well. big thing I look at is if I met either one of the guys in person which one do you think would be nicer…. Lmfao. Should be pretty obvious.

Gypsy for me. Steve has come like a pompous douchebag most every time I’ve tried to listen to him.

I use to love pulp but recently I can understand why riders do not like Steve. He just comes off as a pompous ass. Show quality as dramatically went downhill as well. Just as soon as something interesting gets brought by a cohost or guest he interrupts with a sponsor read.

Steve doesn't even go to the races anymore. Why would anyone care what his insights are?

I follow the Supreme Court because of a case I'm litigating currently. This is all over youtube on news networks. Type in Chevron Supreme Court on youtube and you'll see all kinds of videos. Or you can go to the Supreme Court docket and download it. It basically says govt agencies can't make up their own rules and regs. The weather is a conspiracy theory man. DC hates the Southeast and everyone that lives there and does everything in his power to fuck them over.

I understand all that, but many riders do live and train in Florida. People do not stop attending outdoor activities in Florida, Disney World is full of people in July, the Marlins and the Rangers still get fans attending. And, this is important, there are many areas in the southeast or even Texas that do not have extremes of weather worse than Pala or even High Point, especially inland or in the mountain areas. The weather is a bullshit excuse.

Sounds like an admission that the Orphan National wasn't such a bad idea after all. I tend to think it would be more about ticket sales in the SE in summer since we've all seen stupid high temps at CA Nationals over the years. So, heat being the common denominator at both locations, why would they have a CA heavy schedule versus a non-existent SE one? I seem to remember the owner at Muddy Creek wasn't going to renew his contract because he said he wasn't making money under the contract terms. He eventually did but we see that didn't...

To roostbuckets reply and DC's excuse that it is too hot to hold races in the southeast, many pro mx riders live and train year round in the southeast, many if not most mx training facilities are in the southeast used year round. The top attended amusements parks in the USA are all in the southeast, many of their busiest days are in the summer. NASCAR events in the southeast are well attended as well as many other pro sports, such as baseball, held in the summer in the southeast. The argument holds no water.

well bro-tato...it's not "whining" when it's true. The moto-media is a joke and when they are no longer a joke, I'll compliment them (as I have done a multitude of times on a variety of their posted articles on this very site). The downvotes are because people are tired of the poster's constant whining about the media. DC certainly has a big influence over the sport, but to think there's some master narrative that he's controlling is just tin foil junk. He gave an account from his perspective, Bud gave an account from his perspective, and people are free to reach their own conclusions. If someone reaches a conclusion with which you disagree that doesn't mean they haven't applied critical thinking. I think there's plenty of room for both sides to fit into an accurate narrative. MXA reliably criticizes MX Sports on a regular basis. Which may be why DC's minions attack the publication at the least provocation or mention of the magazines name.

So say Glen Helen is 100% at fault, was Guy Cooper at fault as well when he stated he was screwed over with Cooperland's national? Are all the promoters who could hold nationals in Texas or the southeast at fault too? Are the only tracks in this entire country viable in saint Dave's world the same ones year after year? Many podcasters work for him, he runs the outdoor series, a good chunk of the amateur series, his employees are prominent in the TV airings, he owns a popular magazine about the sport and prints the program for the nationals, runs GNCC, etc.. If he doesn't control the narrative, he has alot to do with it.

Meh... If it's Thursday and pros are there I'll take a long break and spectate for awhile, then go out in the afternoon. GH practice has never bothered me, and I'm slow. I just keep my head on a swivel and ride accordingly. Also, this is every SoCal track, not just GH. They're ALL open practice.

DC gets to control the entire narrative in our sport. That's not good. Cooksey posted screenshots of the emails/texts between Bud/DC and it appears Bud is telling the truth. The deal with the Promoter's Group vs MX Sports is sketch as hell and DC is lucky he wasn't sued. Talk about bait/switch. But as with anything in our bro-media, DC no longer posts here so it's not like anyone is going to confront him with conflicting info and ask him some hard questions.
