Someone on the Glen Helen staff is reaching out to Jace at Gypsytales to get Bud on the show. After the long interview with DC, Bud stated he wanted to get his side of the story out.
I've been hearing things about this saga for many years but hearing from Bud could change things.
I am waiting!

Sorry it's blurry, it came from Facebook, the platform us adults use.
It's here!!

Poll
Given Gypsy’s wide base, I wonder if he feels a long form interview wouldn’t appeal to the majority of his audience.
Perhaps a 30 minute “exclusive” similar to Pulps Renthal Reaction….
Either way, I would love to hear what Bud has to say.
Pretty sure I've heard/read Bud's side of the story before. It's out there somewhere. I remember hearing about the t-shirt thing from his side. This recent interview from DC is just finally hearing DC's side after hearing Bud's side.
Here's an old article:

All I know is I watched Jeff Walker and Jerry Robin GoPro footage at Glen Helen. No wonder riders are constantly injured. So many riders of varying skill level and age on the track at the same time. Just wow
Yeah it could be a phone call or something. How old is Bud, now?
Cooksey already explained Bud's side.
Regardless of either side, the Track needs to be one of our NATIONALS period!!
As an outsider observing what has gone on between these two, I am leaning towards DC being tired of dealing with someone making unreasonable demands. It’s the Pro Motocross series and it seems they should be able to call the shots on Vendors, track length etc
Notecing that the owner of glen helen calls every race he does there a World Championship.....i get how tires DC should be of having to deal with him.....
Yep.
I've said it a million times, most of the other tracks on the National schedule happily come back year after year after year after year....yet somehow, poor Glen Helen is the victim according to some people because they can't make it work.
The only way that makes sense is if you are trying to keep your street cred up on Vital by bashing DC.
If Jase can ask and follow up on questions like he did with dc it would be worth a listen ,
I anticipate that DC will be thrilled that Bud gets to give his side.
There's probably a 20% chance that this helps broker a peace but an 80% chance that it drives a stake in any chance of a Glen Helen National ever happening. We need people who love motocross more than they hate each other.
I wonder if anyone ever hit "send" on the fictitious message in that screenshot? I also wonder why they took the time to redact the name but leave Lori's phone number for all to see? Oh well, it's on Facebook so obviously legit.
Practice at Glen Helen isn't broken up?
Nope they even used to allow quads out there at the same time would have to pull my kid off when they got out there!
Um..........wtf?!
I assumed that was just the general track phone number. How do you know it's Lori's number?
Pit Row
lol they do not allow quads anymore but yeah it's all systems a go.
As an outsider from Europe, who is more credible? The track owner or AMA?
I've listened to Davey Coombs with Gypsytales, but there are two sides to the story. Main fact is that both of them want the national at GH but cannot get to terms with each other. If even Mitch Payton and Troy Lee were involved in a sort of meeting to get things right, you know that the track should be on the calendar.
Obviously there is some talk every now and then about MXGP tracks having to pay Infront to organize. How is this settled with the AMA and their outdoor nationals?
I get it’s a cool track to watch for us fans but ask a retired pro who has had to race it and I think they usually say it’s sketchy and dangerous and they hated it.
DC seems like that guy people like to bash but when he’s gone those same people will realize he was adding a lot of value and will miss him.
Trust me, it's her number.

If it happens, it will be interesting if he says in the interview and what was said in the article match up. That would be a good indicator of how much BS is being spewed.
It's not always liking to bash someone when you don't agree with them. Davey has done a tremendous amount for the sport and when he leaves it my guess is it will be in better shape than he found it. That being said I don't agree with everything he does or has done. If the way the MX Sports deal came about is how Bud says it did, that is a pretty snaky deal. It's perfectly okay to like what someone has done overall but not like the way they do everything. People seem to think you gotta be a hater or a nut hugger with no in between.
Welcome to So Cal. Many Thursdays spent at Glen Helen in my life. Morning shared the track with the likes of RV, RD5, Josh Grant, Peick and many many others as well as kids on 65's and 85's. I was usually there for quite a while so afternoons consisted of the quads showing up. As soon as I saw one on track I pulled off and wouldn't go back out until they all pulled off.
All systems go, no flaggers, and no EMT.
DC gets to control the entire narrative in our sport. That's not good. Cooksey posted screenshots of the emails/texts between Bud/DC and it appears Bud is telling the truth. The deal with the Promoter's Group vs MX Sports is sketch as hell and DC is lucky he wasn't sued. Talk about bait/switch. But as with anything in our bro-media, DC no longer posts here so it's not like anyone is going to confront him with conflicting info and ask him some hard questions.
This poll got some good numbers but it seems like a plurality of you don't care....
People never cease to amaze me. The man stated a fact that one person controls the narrative in our sport and people downvote it. "Dammit, I want my info spoon fed to me." The lack of critical thinking in this society is astounding.
