Yeah it would be unrealistic of kawi to expect a 26 year old who has already won indoor and outdoor title to compete for another title. Once again, it's takes like these that keep me rooting for the guy lol

It's a bit of both imo. Chase has moaned (beyond the regular) about every team he's ever been on, that's true, but while grumbling he was still shockingly fast and able to deliver good speed and results. Outside of one race and some flashes of real speed during a practice here and there (until the track goes away), he hasn't really been able to come close to what he had. As for the team side of things; there's just far too much smoke (ex rider comments/performances) for there not to be an issue with the way Kawasaki has historically handled...

Well unfortunately, I have quite a busy life outside of Vital and can’t peruse every post in every thread , so that being said, I apologize profusely to anyone that I may have offended ,particularly anyone with blue hair, lip rings ,run Daycare facilities in Minneapolis and/ or anybody named Karen . *Jett has done better on the Honda, and I think it's pretty unanimous that he's a generational talent. Eli doing this well on a KTM is a surprise but he is also the second winningest rider in sx ever, so not the most fair comparison there either. I think you could say he gave up. He didn't pull out of the race, but chase didn't go all out in that race for sure. Funny how both Prado and Chase, backs it down equal amount on the same team/bike, when they don't feel safe or comfortable on the bike. Tomac also backed down similar amount, from winning potential to 6-8 when he had setup issues. Guess that's where you land if you have potential to win but have to back off to be safe. Field is tight.

Last year I would have agreed with you. But seeing how Jorge was doing and chase’s results so far in starting to think Kawi is pretty lost right now. Which my be exacerbated because sexton has never been great at bike setup

A bad start is a bad start but it's the lack of forward progress and just reaching a point where he's stuck (far too early) that's concerning. There's something happening (sometimes) between practice and the evening races. He at times looks very good in practice but then as soon as the track inevitably starts going away then so does whatever setting Chase and Kawasaki think they've found in week... Whether it be Prado, Hunter, Chase etc we all (unless you're insane) want him to do well and be up there where he belongs. As fans we can only benefit from...
