Audible - word of the night

RC has been saying it for the last few rounds. 

I don’t think he knows what audible means.

I've been listening to the whole show with Spanish commentary turned on, and I don't understand more than 3 words in Spanish.I just want to hear some of the bikes and I can't listen to Dif & RC in the booth.

I haven’t noticed it until this round. If it’s a moto term with a different meaning , I haven’t heard it before. 

Semi serious question, is Ricky being held hostage by monster to be in the booth? Everyone including Ricky knows he is a terrible commentator, he was even on rdl today saying how much he likes that he can relax and be himself when he goes on with JB and AC compared to the booth... So I ask, is he actually the victim here and is not allowed to leave? The only thing he adds to the TV production is a list of well deserved titles and a monster emblem on the lapel and from the way he was talking and his demeanor on rdl, he doesn't even like it??

So it’s a football term for switching up the play last minute, given vocally by the quarterback, hence the name Audible.

For Moto, while yes, they may be making a last minute switch to the game plan, but using the word audible to describe it doesn’t make sense..

I guess Ricky heard it in football and extended his vocabulary by 1 word without knowing the true meaning.

Yeah he can just say “he is going to have a decision to make”. Dude is not going to call it out in his helmet.

Ok, got to defend Ricky a bit.  Yeah some of the words used, etc. are a little nonsensical, but over all I think he does a pretty good job.  When he and JT are interacting it is good.  JT is stellar, well spoken and knowledgeable.  Now to be honest, I liked Diffey better doing bobsledding.  I really used to like Will, however recently she goes on and on when speaking. Wish she stop that and get to the point.  Of course, who am I to criticize.  They all do a better job than I would.

Think he was talking about the new album he just picked up..

If you do it during RDL, with AC saying 'Oftentimes'.    It isnt even a word.   The correct word is 'usually'. 

Tomac practicing starts at the Goat Farm, that's an audible noone saw coming.

Even though my Spanish isn't even to a functional level, I find the Spanish commentary far more exciting & engaging. Going back to the regular white dudes in the booth sounds like golf commentary by comparison. 

The last thing we need is Latin levels of shoutyness in the booth.  

Spanish Football commentary is legendary for that ....   

Nickvincent Wey. Called an audible on the split lane. Lotta racing left but I think he made the right move. 110%. 

I kind of enjoyed it. I mean, it is three syllables. Ricky is Ricky. I do hope the bring JS7 back soon though. He is one of the best in the booth ever. 

This was the first round I noticed him use it like 3 or 4 times. WTF is he even saying? "inaudible" means no one can clearly understand what is being said. Using "Audible" means being heard. This makes zero sense to use in moto. I didn't really give a damn about how bad he was in the booth. But this one word just made me think he needs to be done in the booth.
