Cooper and Eli won in their first year on KTM and Yamaha. Chase is a prior champ and is further away than anyone expected. Chase is a head case AND the factory Kawi might suck. Absolute nightmare scenario.

Agreed, he would probably benefit from some not caring. I think constantly trying to do too much is the core of all these issues with all the brands.

Might be one of the dumber takes I've seen on here in a while. He won a 450 title about 18 months ago and was a few stupid decisions away from winning SX title last year. If anything he spins himself in circles because he cares too much. If he just wanted to collect checks he could just pick a setup and go golf all week instead of constantly testing and searching. And for all his faults he's consistently been one of the fittest guys out there. You don't get there by going through the motions.

If we ever get anyone from Kawi in front of the media again and they don’t go hiding like they did all of last year, hopefully someone can ask them how it’s possible that they signed two of the best talents in the sport in the last two years and both of them look the worst they ever have done in their entire career

When a rider of Chase’s caliber isn’t tripling onto the table after the whoops and Deegan was almost every lap on a 250, kitchen also did it a number of times on a 250, and most of the top 450 riders were hitting it, makes me think something is up. He wins a race. Clearly he can go fast on the bike. Then he decides he needs a different feel. Is this not the exact story for him with Honda and KTM? From a fan vantage point, it is really hard to conclude anything other than the only thing needing revalved is between his ears. Still, I’ll give him another two-ish rounds to right the ship.

Honestly minus his win it really doesn’t even look like Chase at all.

As bad as he's ever looked in a race where he didn't crash. Start was good enough and got dropped by guys who in past years have had nothing for him. Tomac crushing it, prado exceeding expectations, Anderson doing fine, marchbanks has been a disaster..... Plenty of evidence to indicate the bike is at least part of the problem. Combine that with sexton always searching for some feeling that doesn't even exist on a good bike..... definitely panic button time but not sure what good it's going to do.

Tough one…. Triumph is a “factory” team, but Club has their shit together.

The Prado Kawi thing has been beaten to death, buried and then dug-up and beaten again. There is nothing left to say. Chase is known to chase the elusive perfect setup. He’s done that with every team. He’s doing that now. We can discuss this without dragging Prado into it.

I'm a Sexton fan and want him to win, but this isn't going good. Eli looks unreal on his old bike, and he just straight up rode around in 7th when he should have capitalized on Eli's bad night. He might turn it around, but it might be too late, then Jett's back and it'll be even harder.
