As an RMZ owner, no it’s not the best 450 ever built. It is however, the most usable, rider friendly 450 I have ever ridden. They are super easy to ride and the only thing that’s done to it other than suspension is a full fmf system. I can easily ride my RMZ twice as long as my dad’s Yamaha(which I love by the way) or friends Hondas. Haven’t ridden the new gen Kawi so can’t comment on those as of now. Compared to the YZF and CRF, those feel like they are trying to rip you around the track...

Who doesn’t love a good moto history mystery? And here is an update, although not totally conclusive… Nelson Whitehill was from Escondido, CA and signed up for the 1974 Hangtown 125 National. In the program (see attachment) he is listed on being on a BANDI, which makes no sense because they apparently don't exist in motocross. He is the only person in the program with a 5-letter brand, as everyone else is listed as: HON, SUZ, PEN, etc. However, Whitehill also seems to have one sponsor listed: "Ennette W. Bullock" And in a current records search, there is a listing...

What if the Chinese aren't entering the EMX world to win the 2027 championship? What if they are entering to prove that the Kove 250 can be raced, just like the established mfgs' bikes, week in and week out, without constant bike failures? What if their whole goal is to prove the bike is reliable enough and that there is enough factory support to warrant the everyday Joe in the US or in the Philippines to go out and buy their bikes? The Chinese are coming. They started out copying IP in almost every industry. But there are rooms full...

IMO, the One Industries graphics were the best on that generation of KXs. Even though I recently owned an 06 KX250, my top choice is a 94-98. I should have never sold my 96.

Just like the Japanese wave in the ’60s, it started with rough builds and evolved into refinement. On that note, CFMoto has been producing bikes and components for brands many people already respect, more than most realize. And then there’s the story behind Kove. The founder could have been one of us. He was a kid with a dream of racing the Dakar Rally. He didn't have a bike, so he built one. Politics aside, that’s something I can respect.

The guy with the hats is Marshall Plumb. He is a long time pro mechanic, having wrenched Guy Cooper to his 1990 125 outdoor National championship and has been a tire tech for Dunlop for many years now! Marshall is an awesome fellow and still operates Marshall’s Racing out of Stillwater Oklahoma…why he is tasked with the “hat on the bike before the rider can get his helmet off” is a curious reality for sure! 🤪 👍❗️

Hopefully a high output stator with a lighting circuit to run a Baja Designs Squadron headlight. My KDX is plated. I'd like to do the same with this.
