I had a 2016 yz250f and getting some pegs is a really good relatively cheap mom that makes a big difference. I have flo pegs and am really liking them.

Just did a oil change and found this on the magnet of the drain plug

Is it blown? Any guesses on what it is

i think the motor was starved of oil because i was having major blow by issues and i think it blew so much oil out of the breather that is ended up starving the bike. i ended up ordering a new head, valves ,seals and cam. so my simple piston change turned into a lot bigger issue.

Guess it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. In my opinion if you want to suck roost and be a back marker, burn away! I was racing 30 plus, was getting high most days including the night before racing, rode mid-pack, generally with the other stoners. Guess I was okay with paying for someone else's prize money. Then one day I wondered what would happen if I did not get high after Wednesday night for a Saturday race. It was like a switched classes, was racing with guys I never saw during a race before. So let me get this straight , you finally get Yamaha to update the 125 and you whine and bitch ? Lame. Kudos to Yamaha for not bnging the shit out of us again. Plus you know what that means? The 250 is bound to see updates soon too. I’m gonna buy one just to promote them for putting in work. Plus the chassis is so sweet even for me at 200lbs it’s the most fun bike I’ve ridden.

Yamaha will sell every one of these...especially as the only Japanese manufacturer still making 2 strokes, AND actually sticking money into updating them. Hopefully, this is a path to showing the other manufacturers that 2 strokes are still wanted.

I know the chances of this of this are .01% but imagin if they fuel injected the 125 and 250. They would be the coolest bike on the block.

I kinda liked that there were so few that made the leap. The reason for it being difficult seemed to be a combination of a really slow corner before and the landing was tall. But i see the point that some would like it to be easier. For me the optimal would be that pretty much the top 15 450 riders can make it and only a handful of 250 riders can make it
