Excited to see if and what Yamaha announce. If it’s a significantly updated two stroke, I’m in (don’t care what cc).

Maybe that’s why they sold there bike to fantic
Grab a load more money still producing all the parts for that gen bike and bring to us who bleed blue letter loan a smoker lover a all new 125
I’d come out of 12 year retirement for one

Personally, I've always struggled to understand the need for all the secrecy right up to the release date.
So lets say Yamaha does have an all new 450 and all new two strokes....so they diligently hide the facts from the buying public right up to the release date, months even after the competitors new bikes have already hit dealer showrooms.
Aren't they potentially losing sales?
I mean ol mate's in the market for a new bike...all the 22's are there to sit on and ogle...except for Yamaha and ol mate has no idea if they are gonna be bng's or what....does he continue to wait or does he blow his load now?
If he was a bit of a Yamaha guy..or more importantly a swing voter if you wil....wouldn't it be better if he knew what the yamahas were gonna be at least before the competitors bikes landed? Then he might have real motivation to wait..

For every other brand 22 model bike sold b4 Yamaha even announce their 22's..isnt that potentially a lost sale for yamah?
The whole early release thing where we see next years bikes go on sale even before the halfway point of the current model year , didn't that start for precisely that reason?

The MX bike is maybe the most minor part of the Fantic/Yamaha partnership.

Fantic has been partnered with Yamaha in running of Minarelli, a pretty major manufacturer of small bore motorcycle engines. They formalized an agreement for Fantic to take control this year.

You keep new models secret so you can sell all the prior model inventory.

Exactly what Beta has done with their teaser, but not the details.

Man, did that strategy work. No wonder why there's no bikes left at dealers anywhere!

Yeah, Talisker said later in the thread that you keep the models secret so you can sell prior models, that true... but also, looking at a totally different market, the IT/Software industry and big old Microsoft. So their strategy is many times to pre-announce well in advance of what is coming so customers don't 'blow their load' on anything else.. many times they are late and under deliver but many customers are there waiting with their cash, not 'blowing the load on anyone else'.

I don't know, I'm more intrigued on how they can keep the secrets, someone must know something that is not under NDA or not so close to them that they care too much...

Was Jettsons seat cover blue at Red Bud? Does it mean the new CRF250r has a blue seat cover? Smile (oh yeah, not Yamaha of course)

If true, I'll take that. Looking forward to them. If the 2strokes are new, I wonder what affect it will have on the used ones and prior-gen? It will be interesting.

In reference to which in particular man? 99.9% of bikes have stickers of companies that aren't paying the guy riding it, surely?

I kind of hate when people say they don't run a sticker if they aren't getting paid. Well Yamaha isn't paying you either (in fact, you are paying them) so what's the difference if you have a different companies logo on the shroud or a Yamaha logo? Same difference. And Fox probably isn't paying you either, but there is a big FOX logo on your chest etc etc.

When you aren't making a living at racing, no one cares what you use and who your sponsors are so just do whatever.

I can’t remember the mast time I was this excited for a bike release! Seems like a lot more hype for the 2 strokes this year round.. Fingers crossed for a new YZ250!

Im still waiting for my 21 yz250f to come in. I ordered it back in the middle of April and delivery keeps get pushed out and now its not gonna ship till hopefully late this month.
Thank god I have another bike to ride while im waiting.
Ive asked my dealer numerous times about when the 2022's are coming and he doesnt have a clue. If people are still waiting for 2021's, I wondering if they will push off the 2022's even further out?

Not sure if it was you that I talked to in the other thread about it, but when I received my 21, (which was the last one they were getting) they told me they would be taking orders on 22's in July and expected the YZs around September/Oct for the first batch. So who knows if that is actually true, but that was just what I was told because I considered just holding off on getting the last 21 and waiting for the 22. But I didn't want to wait all season, plus I sorta gambled thinking the '22 250F would just be BNG after all of the changes that the 21 received.

The disappointment and hate towards Yamaha on this website when the PR comes out and the 2 strokes are unchanged will be EPIC

2-strokes will be updated, least 125 will be.
