21 yzf shock spring change

Cant get the goddam spring off this thing. What is the secret? The manual makes it look like the bumper can come out of its seat but mine wont budge. Do I need a spring compressor?

***If you have a rubber tip on your air compressor nozzle just poke it in one of the holes and shoot the bumper out of there! So satisfying

The bumper will come out of the seat, just need to pry lightly at the base of it.

If you are talking about the locking ring for the spring use some penetrating fluid.
