GetItOnLikeTron Started a new thread 2012 KX 450 locks up

9/13/2023 9:06pm
Was riding in second gear and the back wheel locked up. It still starts fine and runs fine but neutral, first, second, and third are locked up. I can feel the bike click into neutral but the back wheel is still locked up. dumping clutch on limiter in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd just kills the bike. 4th and 5th work...

GetItOnLikeTron Started a new thread 2020 YZ250f randomly dying

5/4/2023 11:34am
I have a yz250f that has been having a weird issue for a little while now. While riding the bike runs great then after 30mins or so the bike will just die out. While the bike is dying out it sounds as if the kill switch is depressed. Then i press the start button then the bike fires right up...

GetItOnLikeTron Started a new thread Is the Twin Air Powerflow kit worth it?

6/12/2022 8:32am
Hey I’m wonder if the power flow kit is worth the money. I have a 2020 Yz250f and they have a problem with the air filters flapping during high rpm and letting dirt in. The last little thing does it just use normal twin air filters or does it have a special power flow filter.

Pretty awesome! Not that whoops aren't difficult now but back in his early days on 2 strokes it took some knarly balls to hit those whoops at full speed. Even just trying to jump through was a hell of a risk. I miss the days when the biggest difference between the top guys and the rest was who could jump the triple every lap and who could blitz the whoops.

GetItOnLikeTron Started a new thread CRF 110 button throttle

9/22/2021 6:25pm
So I've had this idea since I was a little kid and always wanted to make a dirt bike have a button throttle. To clarify i mean a bike have a button where it is either wide open or not at all. I think a 110 would be the perfect platform and was wondering what it would take to make...

FGR01 Liked a reply to forum topic How to Tell if Gas is Mixed

AvGas 100LL is pure bright blue colored. Any bottle made of PET plastic can hold gas (gatorade bottle, water bottle, etc). Pour a little in a PET bottle so you can see the color easily. The definitive test for mixed or not is the cardboard test. Pour a small amount of the fuel in question on a clean piece of cardboard and allow it to evaporate fully, about 1-2 minutes. Straight gas will leave no trace while mixed gas will leave an oil stain.

The course last year was massive and this year's looks absolutely insane. Wishing all the riders a ton of fun and to leave healthy.

Im with Ted on this. If you think he'll want to race its a no brainer, go with the 65. Two strokes force you to be a better rider and you dont want him to get lazy on a four stroke before he learns proper riding technique. Hold off on the four strokes until he's ready for a 250F. If its just going to be for fun than either bike will do just fine, 65 will likely require more maintenance though. Just my opinion.

Speaking from personal experience, I started on a ttr50 then went to a ttr110. They were great bikes to learn on but the jump to a yz85 was huge from a 110. Having to learn to handle all the power of a 85 and having to learn a clutch was a lot. To be fair it was such a big...

I agree that Honda has made some good changes to the crf250 but I'm still hearing complaints about suspension. The YZ on the other hand has had the best out of the box suspension for years.
