Weege has turned to clickbait. At no point does it say Deegan is definitely racing a 450. It just puts a few bits and pieces together and encourages the fans to come up with 'Deegan's racing a 450 outdoors'. Dodgy.

Just watched RV2’s debut at Glen Helen. Wild, feet off the pegs, sitting down everywhere, nearly falling off every second and a fast as F*#k 1-1. Reminded me of HD38 and what he might look like on the 450. I’m a Jett fan but love the sport and want to see a challenge. HD is the big hope for that so I hope he wraps up early and lights a fire at the last round in the 450 division!

I bet he’d be right where Hunter is at day 1. Not quite ready to beat Jett for the overall without a mistake but everyone else would be on notice and it wouldn’t shock me if he won a moto

I'm with you. I think he would want to hit the ground running on a 450 the start of next summer. Props to him if he does it. Maybe hes just over the 250 class and doesn't care about the optics if some 450 guys beat him.

Now the sport needs team riders in different gear to grow? "How to grow the sport, how to legitimize the sport." We go over this stuff until we're blue in the face. Its a niche sport and its always going to be that way.

It doesn't seem like there's much downside for him. If he only finished 15th, nobody would fault him for it since he's been racing a 250 all year. Seems like only upside to me.

Assuming he does race the 450 at Budds…he’s top 5 for sure IF he gets a start. If he doesn’t get a start he’s still top 10. I just don’t see him slicing and dicing as easily during his first 450 start.

The RacerX article says Bobby “gave him the green light to do it” if he wraps it up early and wants to, not necessarily that he will or is committed to it. I’m assuming the Deegans themselves would want to generate the clicks for this announcement if he did decide to do it. This could also be them getting in front of the story so if he doesn’t race it at the final, they can say it was never the plan or the team won’t let him.

The struggle for the off-road product OEM's will be in the supply chain beneath them. DID, Showa, KYB, Yoshimura, Nissin, and what I assume would be a plethora of other small manufactures would still be shipping only now trans-Pacific to the USA. This means it likely could not just be an assembly plant in the USA for the off-road products. The OEM's and their partners would all have to manufacture as much of the product as possible in the USA. That kind of move would be quite an investment.
