They should throw one grassy track into the Nationals circuit one year for shits and giggles. No track prep, just natural growth all over the course. Might be a terrible idea but I think it would be awesome, lol

So true, See it a lot. When you’re with a bunch of newbies or ex roadies, it’s some kind of wank session about how much your bike cost. Marketer’s dream. Motocrossers and old school mtb’ers would just think you are a stooge and will tell you have been ripped off.

I think stage races are the go for e-bikes. Special Test’s on downhill gravity sections (doing over 25kmh anyway) and power used mainly for untimed but time limited climbing on transport sections. Just like old school motorcycle enduro’s.

Not into exercise or fitness in a big way, but like to ride great trails that I used to ride motorcycles on, that is now not an option.

They’d rather deal with numpties who don’t know anything about bikes or the market.

The shop that didn’t offer you a discount over the phone is probably a successful shop that realizes there isn’t a great reason to bid against themselves to a random caller. If the salesperson knew you, knew if you were a serious buyer, etc, then it would probably make sense for them to discount their product for you. Otherwise there’s little benefit for them to lower the value of their inventory. Personally I’d be interested in what would occur if you went in to each dealer. My gut feeling is that the dealership that quoted you the lowest price would...

Stanton probably told him something like "Man, it's time you get to your first AA meeting". Interesting how this -very good- story doesn't say clearly what Windham has admitted himself before: there was a point where he was drinking heavily. What Ramrod calls "figuring out what he wanted from life"...
